How mature be your newborn when?
4 months for cereals and 5 months for gerber
My son be like 2 months when he ate cereal. We stuck it in his bottles with formula. YES I KNOW PEOPLE SAY IT'S NOT SAFE.. But my doctor told me to do it because he wasn't getting full. My doctor is square and my baby is very healthy. He started ingestion Gerber stage 1 when he was about 4 months old. He's in a minute going to be 7 months this Saturday and he is on stage 2.
She started cereal at 4 months and baby food a couple of weeks later. Make sure you read the label of the newborn food--it will say "1st food" or "2nd food". We made the mistake of buying whatever sounded good, simply to come home and realize some of it was 2nd food so she couldn't even eat it yet. I guess some things are harder to digest or something.
4 months for baby cereal...4 1/2 for stage 1 solids...but once he turned 6 months we started stage 2 solids.
5.5 months for cereal and then we started feed baby food ( I made our own) at 6 months.

Almost 4 months and 5 months he started food.
5 1/2 months for cereal. 5 3/4 months for jarred food. (Cereal IS babyfood.)
