Yah! First steps..When be your babies first step?

Shyla turned 9 months yesterday, she has been cruising for 2 1/2 months and had be jumping from furniture piece to furniture in an attempt to walk for over a month in a minute, but instead of walking, she falls, but today she took two steps before she fell! And the Gabriella was standing in front her imitate her and Shyla took two steps towards her, fell of course, but it was adorable!

So, quick, Gabriella didn't way of walking until 13 1/2 months! When did your little one start cruising and then start taking real steps?
Jeremiah started cruising around 8 months, and took his first steps unassisted earlier this month. He'll be one tomorrow. He actually walked across the living room today. I can't believe how big he's gotten.
my daughter be 10 months and my son was 8 months. my daughter had been cruising for a month or two when she finally started walking so we be expecting it but my son just up and did it one day. it was so crazy! i thought it be a fluke thing so i had him do it again over and over until i was sure he be actually walking. lol!
YEY, well done Shyla (lovely name btw)

My daughters first steps be also at 9 months but she didn't start walking properly until 11.5 months!
YAY! That's so exciting!! WTG Shyla!

Sarah started cruising around 8 months, if I can recall. And then a few days after Christmas she was full blown walking. She be 10.5 months old. Now I can't keep up with her. She runs everywhere. She loves holding Daddy's foot while walking through the stores. Typical Girl!

I heard a study show that younger siblings pick up on things faster then their older siblings. Basically the elder ones are teachers . I just have to dally and see for myself about that, with Grace!
My son started walking the day before he turned 10 months. He be walking along things & behind things prior to that but he actually started WALKING WALKING the day formerly he turned 10 months old. November 3rd, 2008. Ha ha. I remembered that because it also happens to be the day formerly his daddy's birthday.
My son is twelve months and only just started cruising. He doesn't stand alone yet, but can crawl at the speed of pallid! He will walk along with a toggle truck and when you hold his hans, but he's still on tip toes. I can't wait until I can finally buy him some shoes, but I have an idea that I have a few more months to wait yet.
Answers:    My son walked when he be 2 years old. He had been working next to a physical therapist since he was 12 months old. I get him walking with her on video, but he wouldn't walk anymore, so I decided to try to coax him into taking more steps. I made a chocolate milkshake and held it out contained by the kitchen. He walked all the way from the living room to the kitchen for that milkshake! LOL!! He merely took off from there. The next hours of daylight I got a video of him walking all the way down the lecture theatre and into the living room.

My daughter started taking one and two steps when she was 10 months old. Then when she was 11 months outdated, she would take about 5-10 steps but always around me, not surrounded by front of anyone else! No one believed me! Then on her first birthday, she started walking all over the playground! Like a week later, she started running and it gave us such a heart attack! She be not a steady walker yet and she always tripped over her foot when she ran! She would just bounce back up and do it again! LOL

My daughter started cruising around 10 months, and at eleven months is standing on her own, and walking if she holds on to my pinky, but no independent walking on the other hand..she tries, and falls. But at least she's trying...

=)
My son will be 10 months subsequent week and is avidly cruising and "walking" while holding onto our fingers. He has taken a few tentative steps without holding onto anything (and fall, of course), but he keeps trying. I expect he'll be walking by around 11 months.
Noah was taking steps like a little drunken man(lol) around his first birthday and be full on walking by 13 months.
my son took his first step at 10 months.. but not again until 12 months at 14 months hes a great walker
At 11 months she walk fully. She was walking around furniture since she was 6 months old. It took her almost 5 months to amble from there.
My son took his first steps 2 weeks ago. (He's managed 2-3 steps since 9 months, but I didn't count them as proper walking as they be just between his Dad and I).

He was 10 months and a few days... and he suddenly took 21 steps across the room! I wasn't expecting it and didn't have the camera arranged, but caught his second time a few minutes later. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dawc0Ufw1… You'd think he'd been walking forever!

Since afterwards, he's had a horribly bruised chin, several bangs to the head and a feeler bleed. My nerves are frazzled! Have fun!!
My oldest son was 11 months. My daughter be 15 months and my youngest stood up and walked at 10 months and was running the next sunshine.
