Middle signature for my babe?
Okay my husband wants to name our little boy after me in a method. My middle name is Rae. He wants to give it to our babe-in-arms as his middle name also. Would it be okay to spell it Rae or should we spell it Ray, or Raye? I know some names can go both ways. I dont know any other ethnic group named Rae (my mom was a Rae also, but she is passed on) Do you think relations will catch on that it is spelled like a girls name? I other got picked on for having a boys middle name even though it be spelled different(it was my brothers picking on me though)
Any thoughts would be great
My middle entitle is Rae too, thats cool. Umm..My grandfather spells his name Ray, Raye and Rae are more for girls if you ask me, I got picked on alot too because I had a boy entitle so I guess either way you spell it its boy.
First, I LOVE the name Isaiah. That's what I am naming my son when I hold him.
Second, people use girl names for boys first names adjectives the time. I don't see why the spelling would matter for a middle name.
Usually people don't use or see the middle designation, so if you want to name him after you and your mother go for it!

Raye is cool. I dont think people will know its a girls name, i didn't. Its a cool pet name and cool spelling for a boy or a girl in my opinion.
i think it's fine. Ray seems like more of a boy's opening of spelling it, but with the teasing, I don't think it would issue. It's not like your son is going to go around stating his middle name to everyone, so unless he tell everyone he knows, chances are no one will pick on him.

I think rae is more a girls nickname and ray is more for a boy. I think it is pretty for a girls middle name and your brothers are close-fisted!

I've never hear of a girl named Ray spelled R A Y. it sounds fine to me. I'd go ahead with it

Personally, I have a sneaking suspicion that that Rae is girly. Like, (Not to compare you to a dog or anything) but my cousins girl dog is Maggie Mae. The "ae" is very girl like way. But, for a babe boy, I think Ray is best. But, Raye is very creative and I can see it in a boy's signature. Good Luck! Congratulations!
