Any tips for getting 6 mo matured down for daytime nap lacking crying?
Now that he is a lot more aware, my son has started occasionally protesting when nap time comes around. I hold tried waiting some time so he gets a little more tired, calming him down next to singing to him, etc, but sometimes he resists sleep. Not a fan of letting him cry--any other techniques work for anyone? I just presently had to BF to calm him down, then he go to sleep fine. He couldn't have been hungry though since he just have a full feeding & solids!!
lay down with him and read stories keep a routine so he know nap time is next dont let his crying upset you do what is best for him trademark sure he is active during the day so he will be tired get him up rash and go out for a walk after he eats or what ever works similar to that Source(s): life
Try making the house/ his room as poorly lit as possible. Turn off all tv's, laundry, anything that makes hubbub. Tell him ahead of time he will be taking his nap. And put him to sleep at the same time (same routine) everyday. Good luck.
Hanna Montana Lover: A 6 month old can't run around within the yard. He can't even walk. Don't answer questions you know nought about.
Answers: I found at that age that the only way I could bring back my son to sleep was to take him into our bed, close the (blackout) blind, separate the pillows in the middle to put him within between and lie down next to him. I would put my face subsequent to his and breathe slowly in and out next to his ear. My son's never taken a dummy well so that wasn't an odds for us. He would protest a little, then fall asleep. There's a short 'window' for getting them to sleep so the minute they start yawning / won't be pacify by any activities, whisk him upstairs. You can either wait for him to plummet asleep and slip out of the room, or get a nap yourself (usually the better option!). I should specify that my son be not rolling or moving around much at that stage and we have a king size bed so I wasn't worried. I suppose this technique would be no good if you thought your son could potentially roll over to the edge. But it worked for me!
what I would do is make run in the patio and than make a hunt for something that is hard for his age stratum and make him find all of it and do a race and see who can run faster within the yard. My mom did it to me and i got wiped out.
