Is this typical for a newborn kid kitten?
Hello,
My name is Courtney and 2 days ago i found a newborn kitten i would guess that she is about 4 days old presently her eyes are still closed and she still has her cord.Unfortunately my dog killed the momma cat so i have be bottle feeding it with powdered formula.When i first got her she be probroly close to starved so she was eating every 2 hours but now she is going going on for every 4-5 hours is that normal?Also she is pooping about 1-2 times a day is that apt or bad i would take her to the vet but we don't have much money right in a minute but if its an absolute emergency than i will take her in.She is also doing this entity with her nose were she similar to blows air out of it a lot is that ok?
Please help i dont want anything to come to pass to her/he
Answers: Sounds like she is doing good, but is it baby formula you are feed the kitten? They have special formulas for baby animals that would be much better on its tummy. You can get that at any pet store,( petsmarts,Pet Co) The blowing nouns out the nose sounds normal, I believe it is clearing it nasal passage, if the proboscis is warm and dry, then it is sick, if the nose is showery and cool, then its not sick. I would look into possibly finding a low cost clinic ASAP. Especially being separated from momma at such a early age. Good Luck
--when/if you nickname a clinic or vet hospital, tell them you cannot afford medical treatment, and would l;ike to know what exactly you should do to keep this kitten safe and good, you never know , sometimes they have great people that can help you out.
Also perchance try posting this the pet section, there are many that can serve you more then myself.
