Do babies know what love is? What do you regard?
My 8 year old was getting kisses from his 1 year old brother Jack, and he asked me "Mommy does Jack know what love is?" I told him yes categorically. What do you think?
absolutely and every mother knows this when she holds an dstares into her babies eyes. they may not know to be exact the word or the definition but they feel the love coming off of you.
I think the love they know going on for is a kind of instinctual and comforting love that is mostly guided by need for the parent. Later on when the child can kind decisions, talk and think, I consistency that love becomes more to them than a need. But I do think a child is born loving your presence, your comfort, especially your scent. If your baby is crying, and somehow you comforted that little baby, I'm sure the bond and love is strengthened. So yes, I believe a baby is born loving you. =)
absolutely. They can't connect the word to their emotional state yet...if they are too young...but they have that "touch good" feeling we all get and they know that its meaningful.

For example- my 14 month infirm lastnight thinks he is "He-man" and picked up a 2 liter bottle of diet coke and was carrying it. Well he fell and it hit him in the mouth and he started bleeding :( But I picked him up and rubbed his support. He layed on me for lovin and stopped crying immediately. :)

I think they do.I mean they run to you,hold their hands out for you to hold them,they bequeath hugs & kisses,etc.

At a year outmoded, absolutely. I say the safety and comfort they go and get from being cared for in the rash months grows into love in the later months of a year. I never doubted that a one-year-old knew what love is. You can see how they take action to people they know, how they light up when someone tickles them or plays with their foot...you can tell that even if they don't know what the emotion is, they have a rudimentary acumen of Love. And that is sooo cute.
