A Day contained by the Life of your 7-ish month outmoded...?
Mamas,
What does a day in the life of your 7-8-ish month dated look like? Including timing and also eating quantities.
My Little guy still isn't sleeping through the darkness and I was wondering what other mothers are doing... :))
Thanks!
Answers: 7am wake up occasionally 7.30am if I'm lucky
Bottle straight away 180mls formula (bout 220 with powder added)
8am Breakfast bout 3-4 tablespoons of porridge/fruit/weet bix/ however much she desires to take is fine.
9am sleep usually bout 1hour but whenever she wakes up is fine, I don't put her down for another nap time even if she simply has 20mins sleep, we learnt that the hard style.
10am play
11am Bottle same 180mls formula
12noon Lunch usually veges once again whatever she wants to eat.
12.30-1pm sleep depends on morning snooze and if she looks tired early or not. usually around 1hr if i'm lucky.
2pm playtime
3pm Bottle 180mls formula
4-4.30pm may have late forty winks if she's had a bad day sleeping or if she looks tired, we're trying to cut this out but some days she desires it usually 30-40mins.
5-5.30pm Dinner veges whatever she wants to take.
6.15pm Bottle breastmilk 150mls. She seem to sleep better on breastmilk.
6.30-6.45pm we start bedtime routine this is bath/massage/dress/book/bed. I've done this bedtime routine since she was 6weeks old. She's now 7mths. To be asleep by 7pm.
My daughter is not a great sleeper, she used to wake up heaps at night upto 8times in 1 night. This go on for almost 2mths. Since I started her on this routine she's been sleeping through the night. This also works for us because we let her self settle. I will agree to her whinge/cry for 10mins then settle her down for 10mins then repeat by the second time she's in bed she will one and only whinge for like 2mins then travel to sleep. But every baby really is different even though it is hard not to compare and this routine works for us. I keep it flexible also we're out most days of the week and while I try to tolerate her have at least 1 sleep at home a day i'm not controlled to that. Good luck.
My little man usually wakes at 6:00am and has a 6 oz. bottle
Breakfast of Stage 2 fruit mixed with oatmeal (8:30)
Bottle at 10:30 (6 oz)
Nap 11:30 - 12:30
Lunch of veggie and rice 1:00
Bottle 3:30 (6 oz.)
Nap 4:00
Dinner at 6:00
Bottle at 8:00 and bed
He still regularily wake in the night at about 4:00 for a bottle and if that happen his schedule does shift.
He did that this morning and he ate breakfast at 7:30 instead. All of these times can shift by + or - 30 minutes and the schedule is completely dependent on how he slept the previous night. It is completely a kid led schedule, but my son set a fairly predictable diary for himself.
