A give somebody the third degree around pumping?

I'm now 7 weeks postpartum and heading back to work part-time, so I've started pumping for the 6 hours I'm away every other afternoon. How much is 'typical' for me to expect to obtain while pumping? I know it's not as effective, but is there an average amount?

Haha, I don't know if there is any one answer to this interview, but how much did you get from pumping?
When my breast are full I can get something like 5 oz in 15 min.

It really just depends how full I am but usually I can get minimum of 2.5oz
Different women produce different amounts, and it's normal to produce much less by pumping than your baby would acquire when nursing. Most women don't respond the same way to a pump as they would to their nursing baby, so it's middle-of-the-road to get much less. The amount you pump isn't in any course meant to be an indication of how much you're actually producing.

Most women will typically produce about 1 ounce per hour, so if you're gone for 6 hours, you might bring home somewhere around 6 ounces. This differs for every woman, though, so if you gain less than that, I wouldn't worry that your supply is low. You may just not respond all right to a pump.

If you're having trouble keeping a good stash of bottled milk for your baby, you can try drinking steel-cut oatmeal for breakfast, and see if that helps your supply a little. I noticed a big difference surrounded by my morning pumping session when I ate some steel-cut oats before bed. I like this brand: http://www.mccanns.ie/p_QuickEasy.html I found them in the cereal sector of my grocery store. A lot of natural food stores carry it, too.
Answers:    it depends how much your milk is in, established, what kind of pump you hold, how long you pump for ect. I can get anywhere from 2-10ounces. and I am 16 days post partum with #1, and I only pump... I dont pump every 2-3 hours if i did i would probably win more and more in amount but i just dont have the time, and because of doctors directions i am too supplement then feed my baby expressed milk ect within that pattern so i dont need as much however i already have at most minuscule 50 freezer bags frozen in 11 days and pump every day adequate for two days at least plus additional freezer bags i catch to freeze for later.

you should try it out before starting work too see how much you get, and how much you will necessitate.
try and take notice of how often you nurture your baby during these times, and if you can pump around the same times do so. i used to get around 6 - 9 oz's so nearly one full size botle full each time, but it really depends on how much you're baby normally feed. gl and i hope you have a female boss, the look on my supervisor's face when i asked for a private room to be arranged be one of complete puzzlement! until a female colleague told him what i meant lol
When I pumped I usually got roughly 5 or 6 oz out of each breast each session of pumping, after about 4 hours I would know how to get about the same or just about 4 oz out of each.

An electric pump is soooo much better though, I did it with a manual and it took deeply of time.
