8 months little one and not crawling but?
my baby rather to stand, all the time desires to stand, doesn't like to sit much, but she doesnt know how to crawl yet, she cries when she is on her tummy for more than 5 minutes. So that means she will be walking behind time? is 8 months not crawling too late?
when she wants to stand, I have to hold her hand, so she won't fall, she can't stand by herself but she can sit herself
My niece cried when my sister would put her on her tummy. She hated it it so they be concerned she would never learn to crawl. She didnt start crawling till 9 1/2 months but that only lasted a lil bit cuz she go right to walking at 11 months and talking at 11 months too. I gotta say it was completely wierd since she seemed to be behind right? but no not at all it turns out haha. Just go to show you to be patient and every baby is different

As someone else said, presently some babies just skip crawling, however it is an important developmental stage, so i would encourage it sooner.
Generally babies who dont crawl dont develop the muscle strength in their legs and backs as quickly, and tend to lug a little longer to walk and stand unassisted.
Have you tried gradually increasing the amount of tummy time? Every child hates tummy time, but after they get used to it, it gets better. Why dont you capture down on the floor on your tummy too, and try and extend it for ... say 30 seconds every day?
However ... every infant develops at his or her own pace, at a time thats right for them. Try not to worry too much about numbers, and a moment ago go with your daughter! Also (i know its hard) but try not to compare her to other peoples babies - she will crawl, when shes ready!
Answers: A lot of babies do not crawl these days since they are no longer allowed to sleep on their stomachs. My son started crawling at 8.5 months. If she is standing it doesn't mean she will be walking past due. She is fine.
My little man is 7 months and sounds exactly resembling your daughter. I think the average age for crawling is between 7-10 months so your child is not late at all. Also some babies miss the crawling step completely and shift straight to walking which your daughter might do. If is she trying so hard to stand already i would think that she will walk up to that time the average age but you really can never tell what a baby is going to do until they do it. Good Luck

There are babies that will not crawl at all. They in recent times start to walk instead. It is the same as crawling..some go forward, others go backwards. Don't fret in the order of it. Babies will just do what they feel comfortable with and hold amazing us every day. :o)
I wouldnt verbs really. Some babies never crawl. My now 6 year old niece went from sitting, to standing (holding onto us or something) and next straight to walking. I never once saw her crawl. All babies are different! You do need to have her spend more time on her tummy. I'm assuming shes rolling over? If so, just lay her down on the floor on a blanket, on her pay for and let her play around. She has to get comfortable on her stomach eventually. I'm a nanny for a very soon 6 month old, at 3 months, she screamed if she was on her stomach for 5 minutes, simply like yours. However, we just did those 5 minute periods more and more repeatedly until she got used to it and now she LOVES rolling over and looking around on her tummy. She's starting to push up on her arms, and preparing to crawl too. Good luck, I'm sure all is fine!
Every baby is different.Some babies dance faster than others & other babies go slower than others.
I am sure she will start soon.

My son (9 months) is not crawling either. He has be able to sit up unassisted since 5 months.. He also loves to stand and walk while holding my hands!
As for the crawling he tries but he doesnt own much interest, he may walk before he crawls.
