It could be thrush, which can spread from your nipple to baby's mouth and back again. Definately go to a doctor.
That is exactly how I felt when I get mastitis. I would go to your doctor and have it checked out. Because if it is mastitis, it will just hold getting worse until you get antibiotics.
Also I didn't have a hard lump or red nouns for several days.
I had no idea that I had mastitis until I go to the ER with a 106.5 temp. I thought I just had the flu.
I would at least possible call your doctor or hospital and ask.
