My daughter's pediatrician yell at me today?

I took my daughter for her 4 month check-up. The doctor told me I could start giving her cereal if I wanted to. I told her she had been getting cereal for a month, and she be already on vegetables. She told me I shouldn't have done that, and they say to start cereal at 4 and veggies at 6 months. But I knew my toddler was ready. She had signs, she's pretty advanced, and she didn't rebuff it when I gave it to her. Has anyone else been yelled at?
I'm sorry that she yelled at you - that be unprofessional. I thought I answered a question of your awhile ago about giving the cereal and you said that you doctor gave you authority.
Most MD do not yell at their patients
She shouldn't own yelled at you, but just because you think your babe is ready for it doesn't mean she is.

Your baby be ready for the taste, yes, but you need to agree to your baby's intestinal system mature a bit before giving her more complex foods other than breastmilk/formula. She wouldn't snub a chocolate bar or an ice cream cone either, but you know that would not be great for her little system.

Ignore the yell as your doctor having a bad day and losing it a bit, but listen to the content of her message. She's the one beside the MD, and knows how your baby's body operates.
I am sure I will be yell at, at our 4 month appointment on Monday.

He doesn't have cereal but has the veggies, because he is ready for it.

I'm sure her mom give her food besides formula/milk before 4 months!
i'm assuming thats american recommendations?
cause wow. we get told we aren't intended to start any kinds of solids, cereals or veggies, till around/after 6months, and no meat products till after 8months (and they're the 'early' guide lines).

Food is fun until they're one :-) Source(s): myself
No and they shouldn't have yell even though you felt like she was geared up it's not recommended less than 4 months but it doesn't seem approaching there where any issues and she's already been offered the solids and she is weak enough now so it's not like it be too big of an issue.
No... I've never been yelled at. I deliberate that's very unprofessional of your doctor. I wouldn't have started your daughter on solids yet though. I dawdle until 4 months, and even then I think it might be a bit early.
My baby was on cereal at 3 months and veggies by 4 months...doctor approved.
Not really yelled at, but greatly disagreed with when I didn't use child food and went straight to table foods.
If I was ever yelled at by the pediatrician I would be finding a tentative one.
Answers:    I would voice that your daughter is pretty much okay - a lot of kids do not like veggies.

The ped is saying that these might be intricate to digest at that age?

There are "guidelines" and some docs think that they are written in stone. I say it depends on the kiddo and what they can tolerate. You, as momma, know what to do. A doctor like to second-guess or say this or that. They don't know! They use their med school training to say what they say aloud. If it worked for your daughter = super!

My initial thought is get another ped, but then I think, freshly tell them that you will listen to their advice, but you are going to go near your instinct and if that is wrong, well, so be it. Not all kids are created equal. Remind her of that.
