9 month ancient have hives.. anything to do?
a little less then 2 days ago my wife get home from the store and noticed bumps all over our son. She called me at work thinking he get bit by ants or something else.
A little later she said they were gone but only to show up again surrounded by different areas. She then went to a few websites like drsears which she after realized it was hives.
He is only 9 months infirm so I don’t really want to medicate him. We haven’t called the doc since from what nurses and other people have told us is in that is not much you can do. I know our doc would prescribe some garbage that would have worse side effects then the actual problem itself.
I simply feel bad seeing these marks adjectives over his body "although its not half as bad as the pics i have see on the net" On top of that he seems 100% fine he is doing everything normal like in that is nothing wrong.
We didn’t feed him anything other then his bottle and some can baby food that he had a few days before beside no problem. Perhaps something at the grocery store gave it to him? He sat in the grocery pushcart in his shorts, maybe something was on it?
Anyone else run through this before? I hear it can end in 2 days but after that this afternoon it will be 48 hours and he still has them. I read if they last more then a week to consequently see a doctor which i would then do.
any ideas or help would be great.
I am going to tell you what you don't want to hear, he needs to shift to the doctor. If you do not know what caused this, it could get worse and affect his airways. They will more then feasible tell you to use benedryl and monitor it.
Have you changed laundry soap, bath wash, lotion for him? Was someone wearing a modern perfume? Do you have pets that he could be allergic to? Did you take him outside and him touch grass or some sort of plant? It could be anything. My daughter had an allergic aversion and her whole face started to swell and she had hives.
You're sure it is hives and not a heat unwary? If it is hives it really could be from anything and you want to make sure he is safe so I would pay especially close attention to everything he comes in contact with and if you notice that it happen after a certain thing, have the doctor try-out him to see if he is allergic. Also, allergies develop. It could be from the baby food!
