How long bedfore they induce you theese days ?
im 40 + 2 and fed up my partner is going away on the 23rd july something he cant miss and i know with my eldest daughter i was not here 14 days before they booked my induction
i have been told they merely leave u 10 days now is this true this is uk im taking about
my cousin also told me its 3 weeks over so im so confused in a minute i dontknow what to think i want my partner to be there when he is born
MOST doctors want to induce at 42 weeks because there are risks involved with carrying a babe-in-arms longer. I can't believe you haven't been offered that option yet!
My doctor is mortified going past a week to 10 days. Once I was a week late, I be going in every other day for non-stress tests. I also have 2 ultrasounds to ensure that there was enough fluid and that my placenta be fine. I was induced at 11 days late, and ended up have a c-section due to a failed induction. I don't think doctors recommend going past a week postponed, and many would be VERY uncomfortable allowing you to be 3 weeks late, although the choice is ultimately yours as to whether you will allow them to induce you or not. Remember that you are in truth the one in control of the decision, not the doctor.
Answers: If you are in the UK you will not be allowed to run over by any more than 2 weeks.
At a week overdue a membrane sweep will be performed and if this doesn't work you'll be induced usually at 41+5

When I was scheduled for my induction, my doctor said they can merely leave you overdue by 2 weeks. After that it starts to get dangerous for both mum and newborn. But I'm in Canada so it could be different in the UK.

Out here is 10 days overdue as long as the newborn is not showing any signs of distress or being too big for a vaginal delivery.
I was induced 2 days after my due date, because I have been in hard labor for almost 3 days next to little progress, the baby was showig signs of stress, and my blood pressure was getting high. Also I hadn't slept in 3 nights and was literally ratification out from exhaustion.
