Prescribed Yaz while breastfeeding?
I was prescribed Yaz at my 6 week check-up after having my little one and I am breastfeeding. My OB re-assured me that this is fine, but I get seriously of funny reactions when I tell people I am on Yaz and BF at equal time... I get conflicting information online..do you have any information (not opinions) Thank you

I do not know from personal experience, but I have many friends who were prescribed birth control pills when breastfeeding and their milk supplies decrease significantly. Personally, I would not use any sort of drug when breastfeeding because the medicine is released in your breast milk, even if the doctor says it's fine, that can't be apposite for a baby. Consider using a diaphragm until you stop breastfeeding, I used one, it was so simple to use and I liked that I didn't enjoy to worry about man-made chemicals getting into my breast milk. Good luck.

i am almost certain that surrounded by the commercial for YAZ it says not to take if you are pregnant, may become pregnant, or are breastfeeding!
I think I would not thieve it, doctor do not know everything. especially when it's a new drug. Consider that anything you put into your body you are feeding to your child.
