Yet another breastfeeding cross-question?
The bottom of my areolas have become very dry and I was wondering if within was a cream that I could use that's safe for my daughter. I've been using Lanolin but I don't close to how thick it is plus it sticks to my bras. Thanks!
Lanolin is the only one I know you can feed next to, there is one called kamillosan http://www.kamillosan.co.uk/ , but you have to swab it off before feeding.
breastmilk is devout for it too, just rub some in after every feed x
Try expressing a little bit of BM and mixing it with the lanolin to help it water down out and try using a nursing pad inside your bra to avoid leaks and your bra sticking to your nipples.
You could also try some Vitamin E lotion but make sure you wipe it rotten before the babe nurses.

Pure lanolin, made for breastfeeding, is best. It is risk-free for baby and will really help with moisture the best. When I used lanolin, I other used a thin breastpad because I wanted to keep that lanolin grease off my bra and clothing.
there's Doctor's Newmans...it works wonders for very sore, cracked or dry nipples. ask your ob about it. it is tacky but like vasaline it rubs on smooth. i only had a problem w/lanolin and dr. newmans sticking to my nursing pad, mayb your using too much. you just need a very little bit of them to work
Your milk have it's own antiseptic as well as moisturizer. Just rub expressed milk onto your nipple. No chemicals, no fuss, made by you, nothing else is safer and it does work:)
Answers: I used a little bit of Lanolin for a little bit. But someone have got me some breast pads that contained Lanolin. They helped so much! The individual bad thing was if they get to wet they would start to peel apart. So I recommend changing them a few times a daylight.
