Tomato paste/puree for babies?

I have read almost everywhere that you should wait to introduce tomato paste/puree's to a baby till 10 months.
But I am looking at tons of commercially made babe-in-arms food and tons of it has tomato paste in it.
I fathom out it is acidic, but why is it in there?
I be making Lasagna for us for supper and put aside some beef, green peppers for my 8 month old, who is on table foods. He refuses purees, but I have added tomato paste already to the mixture.
Should I try it or hold off?
its pious to introduce lots of different foods from a very young age!
GIve it to him! Anything you eat (with the exception of peanuts, dairy, and other allergy causing foods and any barefaced choking hazards) your baby can eat.

Tomato products MIGHT bother some babies, but as long as your son is ok with tomato products, be in motion ahead and give it to him. If you don't know, all you can do is try!

Feeding babies isn't as scientific near perfect stages as gerber would like you to think... it's much smaller number complicated!

I say give him the lasagna, if he has issues near it (he probably won't) just don't give it to him again.
I think it's okay to try at this point but keep your eyes peeled for a diaper impulsive. My daughter gets diaper rash if I feed her tomatoes, strawberries, oranges and plums. She's fine next to everything else though.
I don't think it is going to do spoil, just keep a eye out and make sure his timmy is sense fine after! I would hold off on the ground beef and peppers though.

To Add: I am sorry to the parents who thinks it's OK to dispense a 8 month old greasy nasty ground beef, that is lately sick!
When I was a toddler/young child tomatoes would sting my mouth and kind me red and itchy anywhere it touched my skin. I still react this way to some fresh tomatoes and tomato products, but I'm not really allergic. You could do a skin test to check your baby's sensitivity to the pure tomato blend before feeding it to him.

I waited until my son be over 10 months before trying him on tomatoes, and now he loves them.
I never fed my children 'adult' foods until they be nearly 1-year of age.
Just stick with the 'baby' foods - they are easier on a babies stomach.
Tomatoes 'naturally' contain acid (as well as oranges, etc.) - not biddable for a babies stomach.
Answers:    There are always risks of allergies. If you are going to nurture him anything with tomatoes, paste or sauce be sure to give him one food at a time to insure within is no confusion about what food caused the reaction.

Some babies can tolerate different foods and at different ages. If you discern comfortable with feeding him something it will not hurt to try. Your baby will convey you if his stomach cannot handle the food.

I have been feed my son baby food since he was 3 months and "big people" food since 4 months. Light doses of course to support his stomach get used to it. (and moms that are worried about this, my son had to own surgery on his stomach and his doctor prescribed rice, then 1st foods and so on.)
its fine from 6 months! the baby foods you buy in particular are fine for the age on the jar no thing whats in it! they arent going to sell potetially harmful foods for babies!
I have been giving my son pasta with tomato sauces since he be 6 or 7 months old. He loves spaghetti and lasagna, and I make both with tomato cement and a lot of canned tomatoes. He's loves it, and has never have any bad reaction.
