10 month prehistoric controlled diet?

Hi everyone

My LO has just turned 10 months and is already a little fussy roughly speaking her foods.

Her rountine is like this:
7am Bottle & porridge
11.45:Lunch usually pasta/rice, meat/veg and sauce/yougurt
2.30pm bottle
5pm:dinner usually potatoes and veg/yougurt
7pm:bottle

She eats well at adjectives but doesnt like any new sauces/flavours I try to introduce.Ive tried cheese sauce with pasta and pesto for example, but she singular will take a tomato variation.I've gone back and tried to re-intoduce a refuse flavour but she gaggs and turns away each time...

She likes baby chicken gravy also but thats it! She also wont get through bland food eg plain potatoes or plain rice.am I limiting her palate by sticking to the same old sauces. She does eat adjectives veg and varirty of meats but it must all taste matching!

Am I stressing over nothing?

Thanks in advance
I think you're stressing a bit over nothing. :o) Relax! Foods are bright to hear; just keep offering her the new foods and she'll eventually steal them.

Here is one thing I figured out with my 9 month ripened though - if I give him a new food in his high-ranking chair, he won't eat it! He'll gag and make face. But, if I let him eat the food off of my plate two second later - he'll eat it all! So, I tolerate him pick from my plate first and then give him the new food surrounded by his high chair after. :o) I think he think he's a "big boy" this way and eating what mommy eats.
I wouldn't worry about sauces. try and dispense her whatever you are having. I most definately would NOT let her put away off of my plate. She needs, even at her young age, to enjoy her own plate of food and eat only what she is given.
You are starting bad drinking habits and no table manners by doing this.
Answers:    surely you are stressing over nothing :)
Babies and children eat to eat..not to wallow in flavour...most kids don't like things adults think are yummy...most of us as kids hated broccoli or pumpkin.strong flavoured foods...and as we grow, our palate change and we try new things.
Think of the positives...don't have to keep coming up next to new ideas...no pressure for variety!
pesto and cheese sauce are extremely strong flavours...
try creamed corn as a mushy sauce to mix things like pasta in, or tomato bases resembling you said..or the baby jar foods(mashed vegies) as the sauce and mix with meat rice and vegies...baby jar foods are in reality designed to not be too strongly flavoured ut still be interesting.
I also used to mix fruit in porridge...
all in adjectives, she seems to have quite a upright variety in her diet for her age. she'll gradually try clean things.. don't worry! Source(s): mum of 4
