Has anyone traveled near their infant on an international flight after the H1N1 outbreak? Was everything OK?

Hi everyone, we are due on an 11 hour international flight to Turkey end of july. My baby is 17 months old, still somewhat breastfed. I am very worried about about this virus within case he might catch at the airport or on the plane. Would you advise me what compassionate of precautions did you take based on your recent experience? I got him little one children masks and tried it at home but he does not even keep it 10 seconds on his obverse. Do you think I should cancel trip?
Answers:    Hi!
I just flew next to my 6 month old (Norfolk-NCY-Paris-Nice) Ok it isn't turkey but beleive you me you have NOTHING to worry roughly. The media always make it bigger than it is. They would close the borders if their be any problem with it. What you heard about folks dying of the H1N1 virus is true but those people just stayed sick for a while and did not get medical give a hand until it was too late (probably did not have form care).
The fact that you are breastfeeding helps since your little one's defence system is powerfully built and stronger than babies on formula, the one thing you should be scared of is breastfeeding in a plane (it be a pain in the butt for me) Just watch your babe-in-arms and take him to a Dr if he starts coughing. You also need to know you have more destiny (and still those are small chances) to contract the virus in the US where they are more cases than in Turkey or any surrounding countries.
Just try to relax, remember that if you listen to adjectives the media's news you would not leave your house ever!
It is way more risky to drive your car everyday than take a plain anytime of the year.
There is a map showing you all the countries near H1N1 infections. the orange ones have had suitcase of virus but it was controlled and no one dies of it. The black ones have have cases of infections followed by death. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/co…

Al right enough stressing out!
Go have a great time, soak up whatever you're going to do there, Turkey is a beautiful country and those are very friendly. Take good care of you toddler, and yourself!
