Episiotomy.. how long to make well?
mine was on friday. the pain level seem to be getting worse. When I did #2 i felt aittle pull, almost like a stitch come undone. Should I go see OB or wait longer as it be only 5 days ago...
Call your doctor. The pain isn't supposed to win worse; you may have an infection of some type. I'd get it looked at to be on the safe side.
I have an episiotomy and tore all over as well. I had stitches up the wazoo! It took a long time to treat - probably 6 weeks or so. The stitches came out at different times.
Congrats on your baby!
My episiotomy took something like 2 weeks to heal. Buy a stool softener and stay away from Mexican food! I was afraid to eat for 2 weeks after I have mine. That was the worst part about have my 1st child. Thankfully I didn't need one with my 2nd.
Also, the stool softener won't affect your breastmilk if you're nursing.
mine took 6 weeks to heal. Try eating things high contained by fiber and lower the carbs so that going #2 is easier.
I had an episiotomy too! It took around 3 weeks for it to stop hurting completely. When going for a bowl movement it will hurt for a while. If you're unsure you should jump to the doctors, unfortunately they're not a nice thing to deal next to.
Eat a lot of fruit to make going to the toilet a bit easier and drink lots of water to dilate your urine so it doesn't sting so much.
Sorry for the TMI but I sympathise next to you!
Answers: if its getting more painfull deff see a dr or your health visitor, mine took just about a week to heal, i washed it with melt water with a little brackish in everytime i had been to the loo, it sped up the process
Don't you think this is a little too personal to be talking around here. You are giving perverts the wrong idea.
