Need endowment accepted wisdom from adjectives of you tired moms please!?
I'm going to send a friend of mine something for her son's birthday coming up, and I want to include a small gift for her too. She's very tired (he have special needs) and I think it'd be nice for her to receive a little something. But I need some thinking that are practical to send in the box I plan to send his offering in??
What kinds of things would you enjoy getting?
Bubble Bath!
A good book she can read when she gets time alone
A gift card for a massage would be great. The most thoughtful gift for me was a morning of beauty. It was a full day of pamper just for me. And the gift giver get me a family member to baby sit. So it adjectives worked out. These however are pricey. A gift card is great because she can pick whatever she wants. If you are on a budget, a nice picture of her and her son surrounded by a personalized picture frame would be fab. Or you can make her an award for greatest mom on your computer and frame it. Answers: Anything she can use to overprotect herself with. Lotions, body splashes, shower gels... etc.
Baby sit for her for an afternoon and send her off for a stroke or pedicure. Pedi and Mani might be more affordable.
Good for you for doing that! My brother has asperger syndrome and I know his mom gets really tired and a 3 hour break is like a week break.
With my first son, someone gave me a lavendar scented eye pillow that can be heated or put surrounded by the freezer. IT ROCKS!
It's great for those days when you are so tired that your eyes are puffy and swollen, and the lavendar scent is so relaxing!
I still use it to this day...and I have even caught my husband sneaking some time with it!
Plus it's super pallid weight and not too big because you are mailing it!
You sound close to a nice friend, she must be lucky to have you!
bequest certificate at a spa and a box of chocolates would work for me:-)
Maybe as night of babysitting and some movie tickets for her just to get a darkness out. Maybe a massage or a pedicure just something for a little mom time.
