How do you get the impression almost using a second mitt vehicle form?
I wouldn't be so thrilled with the idea but be super fussy and make sure its in good condition and have not been recalled, not to sound snobby or bitchy but my husband and I buy everything brand clean.
i don't think it's a problem as long as it's from someone you trust and you know that it have never been in a car twist of fate or thrown down the stairs or anything. if it's someone you trust 100% then it shouldn't be an issue. just check the expiration date. most car sitting room have one on the plastic on the back. also, you can go online and check to cause sure it hasn't been recalled. make sure you acquire an owners manual either from whoever you get the carseat from or online.
I wouldn't. We had our first son four years ago and they asked why I wanted a current carseat. I just had to have bright because the one was old and washing it really didn't assistance matters, plus you are supposed to get new after so long. Source(s): *B*T*

Personally I would never use a second hand car seat. Especially if I didn't know its history. I would touch like I was putting my child's life contained by danger every time I put them in the car. I know not everyone can afford to buy brand foreign things for their baby, but that is one thing I would spend money on.

Nope. Cribs and Carseats I would NEVER return with used unless I knew the people it was coming from and could ensure they be safe.
I'd lone do so from a family member or close friend, given it's not expired.
When buying from places like second mitt stores or garage sales you can never be sure of its condition(i.e. has it been contained by any accidents before).
i get nearly everything for my little one second hand :) EXCEPT for a car form... and some other things. After all the research i have done i think it is best to buy topical.
I only would if I without doubt couldn't afford a new one and I knew the person giving it to me. Also, check the date because you don't want to use an outmoded one.
I am a certified Child Passenger Safety technician (just recertified today, as a matter of fact!). I'm not crazy about it, but it's not other a bad thing. Here's a few tips on car sitting room that may help you:
1) Car seats have a enthusiasm of about 6 years (dates are usually printed on the seat).This is due to the degradation of the plastic after being contained by the extreme elements in a car.
2) Only use a second hand saloon seat if you know its history. Otherwise it could have been compromised contained by a crash, and you may not know it.
3) You really need the instruction manual to know the height and consignment requirements (all seats are different) as well as the installation instructions.

Personally I wouldn't, in recent times because who know where its been. However, lots of people would. I newly sold my sons infant carseat on craigslist yesterday, and I was amazed that the mom and dad that came to pick it up didn't even ask any questions roughly it. They just looked at it and said "aw, its cute" and handed me the money and picked it up. As they were departing I said "yeah, my son is only 4months old and he barely used it, its never be in an accident or anything." When they left I be like geez, if it were me I would have distinctly inspected the carseat and asked questions. They didn't even ask to see the manual (which is okay because I couldn't find it anywhere) but I would have asked for the brochure too.
Well if you know it didnt get into a car coincidence and it hasnt been recalled then i guess it is fine to use.
None of my 4 kids own ever used a used carseat. I didnt even re use my older kids seats for my younger ones. I have other gotten each baby their own new carseats. I guess if i didnt enjoy the money and the only way i could afford to get a carseat be second hand i guess it would have to work.
Unless I knew where the form was coming from and if it had been surrounded by an accident I don't think I would use it.
Mine is second hand, nearly everything I have is! I get it from a friend who I've known forever, so I know it hasn't been in an calamity. Their son is only 2, so the seat is not "expired."
