Do you enjoy a toddler wipe stove? Do you approaching it or a idle away?
Because my 2 week old baby cries when I wipe his butt, I was thinking I don`t know he cries because the wipes are too cold?
What do you think? Should I get a stove?
OK...they are not a waste...it is totally personal preference but my baby detested diaper changes! He hates having a drizzly diaper but then screamed and carried on when changing him. We would melt the wipe in our hands but that wasn't good ample. My husband started thinking about it and said "I wouldn't want someone touching my unit with a cold cloth" so he go to the store and bought a warmer. The baby is in categorical heaven now!! Go Dad!!
Oh and some say they dry out, but ours have been just fine. You just own to make sure you lock the lid so air doesn't get within and dry the wipes.
maybe the wipes sting your baby's bum? try wipe your eyes with the wipes, that's my test, if they sting my eyes i don't use them on baby's bum, Boots own sensitive are brill, as for a furnace for you wipes complete waste of money, when you can warm them contained by your hands in less than a min, you could other get the worst of the poo of with warm hose down and cotton wool.
It was a idle away of money!
He might be crying bc his skin is sensitive. Try the sensitive wipes and make sure you wipe gentle!
He's not breaking into a impetuous is he?
I love our wipes space heater. It is the Babies R Us namebrand. It has NEVER dried the wipes out like everyone say theirs does. I checked the reviews before purchasing it. One person wrote to just incorporate a little whether (a tsp) if it ever did dry up. I noticed a big difference after purchasing it. No more flinching or crying. Babies R Us always have a 15 or 20% coupon too. Give it a try. If you don't like it, just sell it on Craigslist to verbs some of your money!
Just wipe your butt or hooha once with one of those cold wipes and you will know the feeling your babe-in-arms gets! ;)
I have never used one but have heard both perfect and bad things about them. My main motivation for not using it is because when we are out baby will not have warm wipe.
I did not have one because they are a debris.
I made my own baby wipes, and they were never cold. I suggest making your own infant wipes.
I put a little bit of soap with hose in a pump and pumped that into one of the many many washcloths I received at my newborn shower.
I was given one from a friend who used it only briefly next to her baby. She said it dried the wipes up...so I never used it. I have also hear that the wipe stays warm for only seconds, and by the time it reach the butt...it's cold again.
My one issue with them is you will have heat up wipes at home then were your out an give or take a few or at someone elses house, they will be cold unless you go out and get one that you can use a car charger to thaw up. To me personally it just seems resembling a waste.
We got one at our baby shower. We used it for the first few weeks but it does dry out the wipe somewhat. And then it ended up breaking so we don't use a warmer anymore. The coldness doesn't give the impression of being to bother my babies, they don't even seem to notice.
You could also just disappear the box of wipes on in the window. The sun should heat them up good enough.
I got an wipe warmer from my baby shower. I enjoy used it in the winter for about 3 months. I stopped using after that. I wouldn't buy it again.
I never used one, my friend did for her son, they didn't dry out the wipes for her. To see if it will work and will make your baby not cry, put some wipe in a ziploc baggy and run it under hot/warm hose before you change him. Also make sure he's not getting a diaper imprudent, sometimes the scented wipes burn
Instead of getting a furnace just hold it btwn your hands for a while.
I hear they're a waste of money. Maybe the child has a rash and that's why s/he is crying?
Answers: My son cried through every diaper change for at least the first month. It didn't matter how hastily we moved or how warm or cold the wipes were. He other cried. So there may be nothing you can do about it. We received a wipe warmer as a gift and we used it at first. It has it's pros and cons.
Pros- reheat wipes.
Cons- you aren't supposed to leave it plugged in when you progress out or go to sleep because the heat dries out the wipes and it become a fire hazard. You can add more water to oblige prevent them from drying out but then you'll constantly be checking the water to make sure there's adequate moisture. Not worth it. It's easier to just unplug it or turn it off.
-Since you can't leave it on 24-7, you'll inevitably hold cold wipes at some point or another. Such as when you first get home from being out or within the middle of the night.
-Unless you have a warmer of some type that can thaw out wipes in the car and whenever you're out, you'll still be using cold wipe at some point or another. So there's no point in stressing over having warm wipe at home.
Overall, I would say the warmer is a luxury item that you don't need. If you enjoy one (or the money to get one) that's cool. But don't rush out to get one to fix this problem. What I found to be easy and convenient and save money is to use a wash cloth when we're at home. I wet it with reheat water at the sink and use that to change his diapers. This way he get warm diaper changes without the stresses of the actual wipe warmer.
Waste of money. For the 1st six weeks, we used cotton balls and warm water or river that was room temp. She was perfectly cheerful.
I've heard they're a spend. I never got one, so I don't have any experiences with them.
For the first few weeks, we used a thaw washcloth. He reacted to that a lot better than the cold wipes. :)
Waste of money. Use water to wipe his bum area. This is much healthier for the infant. Air dry, air dry.
