Please help out i own a 3 week outmoded babe,?

andi am breast feeding but he seems to be hungry all the time, i nurture him for about an hour sometimes and half an hour to an hour he is hungry again i think incentive all he does is cry until i feed him.
Is he not getting enough milk? should i bottle nurture?
Bottle feeding will decrease your breastmilk supply and make it harder to breastfeed. Make sure he is latching on your breast properly, mouth yawning, lips not tucked in, his tummy facing your tummy. If you have larger breasts it can aid to support them underneath a bit once he is latched on. 3 week old breastfed babies feed alot because they digest breastmilk so easily and they enjoy small bellies. As they get older they feed more well and they feed less. 3 weeks is still very babyish, just feed whenever he wants, and your milk supply will attain better for him. You don't need to know how much milk a breastfed baby gets, as long as he have what he wants whenever he is hungry, he will be getting enough.
So the answer is yes, he is getting enough if you are feed him when he wants, and no you shouldn't bottle feed until you are ready to wean, it's not biddable for breastfeeding. You aren't doing anything wrong, he is just hungry.
I would try and alternate between breast and formula if you think your child is not getting enough milk what you could also do is express into a bottle and look at the colour of your milk if it looks too watered down then its not strong enough for the infant and Id give some formula too if your milk does look strong enough then possibly his just not laching on properly or falling alseep in between feeds and as a result not getting enough milk good luck I know its hard work and its draining on the both of you hope this help :) Source(s): Mother of 3 myself :)
express some milk to make sure your producing enough
if your not use bottle feed to, if you are I don`t know go to doctor?

good luck

I noticed you have two posts roughly speaking this and are obviously pretty stressed. I have just be through similar myself and feel your pain. A crying, hungry baby is massively stressful!! If your bub is gaining weight and has several raining nappies (I think 5-6 disposables a day, but not sure?) and also has regular bowel movements after I think you should check for reflux as bub would probably be getting enough to eat. If they don't hold many wet and soiled nappies then I would try the formula and grasp advice asap. This will give you a rest and nourish a hungry bub and look into seeing someone nearly advice with breastfeeding (it could be latching or a supply issue or something else). If you give formula and bubs is still upset I would look into reflux as babies can comfort nurture for the pain. Good luck!
its normal, its time for the baby to save on feeding so that the baby grows healthy. breast milk is best for the toddler, no supplementary such as bottle feeding etc

u have been blessed beside baby. its God's gift for you
Remember that breastfed babies will eat more often than formula feed babies. It's not uncommon for them to breastfeed every 2 hours in the beginning. If he is have 5-6 wet diapers a day and putting on weight, he is getting ample. You could supplement with formula, but that often throws breastfeeding right out the window. I would try breastfeeding a touch longer and see if things even out. Sometimes it just takes a little while to achieve the hang of it! Best of luck. Source(s): Registered Nurse, breastfed 3 babies
Answers:    This is typical. Breast milk is a lot easier to digest than formula, so it does not stay in the system as long. This is generally a flawless thing because it is much easier on Baby's digestive system; however, it does make life a moment or two more difficult for Mom. Let him nurse as much and for as long as he wants, he will only eat what he requirements. And be patient, he will get to the place where he is competent to consume enough to hold him for a longer period.

Your pediatrician should be more than obliging when it comes to answering your question and may be able to get you in contact beside a nurse specializing in lactation.

Good luck and Congratulations! Source(s): Breast fed three miracles.
babies are usually breastfed for about 10 minutes each time and they are usually ok. maybe you are not producing plenty milk. try pumping out some milk and see if you actually produce enough. it could also be wind (griping pain) which cause him to cry and breastfeeding just comforts him.
if you are really worried, get him checked out by your health company or a doctor.
all the best.
maybe their is not enough milk in you and i muse ya you should bottle feed to get full.
Your son is going through the three week growth spurt. Just keep breastfeeding. Your breasts are giving him enough because he stimulates more and more milk by nursing. Hang surrounded by there. This will pass within three days. My 10 month frail is breastfed and he had growth spurts at 10 days, 3 weeks, 8 weeks, and then 12 weeks. Then he just evened out his constraint. Good job Mommy!
I am no expert by any means but i remember reading here once that maybe hes too full and is crying because hes too full but food is the single thing that comforts him? they also said to check his belly and if its hard thats probably the reason.. i judge maybe also trying to burp him? but yet again im no expert so i'd call a doctor or give a hand line.
He may just requirement to suck for comfort, have you tried a dummy or your little (very clean) finger, see if that will comfort him first before changing his feed.
So many mums have this same problem. I did and my breast feed friends did too.

Breast fed babies always feed more frequently and breast milk is tremendously quick to be digested, It's ever so tiring but don't give up it you can help it. Although they never nurture as infrequently as bottle fed babies, the time between feeds will slowly become longer.

If you need a break to get hold of some sleep in then I would recommend a bottle. This is how I handled it because I become so exhausted. The Avent airflex bottles are ideal for combining breast and bottle feeding because unlike most bottles, your baby doesn't enjoy to release it and let air get fund in for more milk to come out. They get very confused going on for this because obviously breast feeding is just continuous sucking.

I found that a bottle end thing at night would help my son to sleep through several hours and tender me a chance to catch up on sleep. Just make sure you breast nurture as much as you can and only give perhaps one or two bottles a time if you want to keep up with the breast milk. It works on a supply and demand argument so if you reduce the amount of breast milk your baby is having, your breasts will moderate the amount they produce.

If you think your baby is also feeding a short time for comfort, then perhaps try a dummy. They're not as bad as relatives think.

Good luck. xx
my sister gave my niece breast milk and formula. her daughter be still hungry because she wasnt producing enough breast milk.. so its ok to give your baby formula as powerfully
Is he gaining weight? If you weigh him regularly, and he is acquirement weight, you will be able to feel calmed that he is getting enough milk. Your breasts should produce enough milk to feed your toddler. If you replace feeds with formula, than you may start to produce less milk. It is probably best you check that your little one is gaining weight first before you settle on if you need to use formula.

You can also check how much milk your baby is taking during a feed by weigh him before and afterwards. You can estimate how much milk you baby needs per nurture from:

Does your baby fall asleep while you are feeding him? It may be that he falls asleep in the past he is full. If this is the case, try to keep him awake by, for example, tickling his feet.

Or it may be that your child is actually tired and not hungry, so the feeding works to soothe him for a little while, but what he really desires is a sleep.

Good luck.
