Would this annoy you?
...I know it shouldn't. But I have a neighbor that is a "know-it-all" when it comes to my son.
The other day I run into her at the mall. She hasn't seen my son for a months (he's only 7 1/2 months ...) and she told me he be "having an allergic reaction because of the redness on his forehead" ... I told her that it is a angel kiss/stork bite that have been there since birth and is fading (as that's what it is). And she said "no, that's an allergic reaction" . I realize there was no winning that conversation .. so I said "thanks" and tried to revision the topic. She frequently says these things, and hasn't had any "real" contact with my son (she have 3 children of her own).
Do you know anyone who is like this? Does it get on your nerves sometimes? ... I know I shouldn't let it bother me, but it can and it does.
I know few women at my school who think they know everything. We verbalize about are kids and this one women in particular know everything and her way is the ONLY way. I just say aloud "thanks for the advise" or "hmm I didn't know that". A lot of the time I just smile and nod
Ya that would annoy me. But this is alot worse. Yesterday a lady I barely know saw my baby for the first time. Everybody kept discussion about her hair because my daugthers hair is long and no business how I comb her hair it still looks like a mohawk. So my husband is holding my daughter and this lady lickes her hand rubs them together and then runs her hands through my daughters hair. I be very upset but I just walked away. Oh and my daughter have a stork bite on her forehead too.
yes that would really annoy you. if i were you i would relay her that its nice that she is trying to help but you don't need it all the time.
Well, I don't have anyone contained by my life that does that to me. However, I will get comments from my father, mother, and mother-in-law. haha My mother never thinks my son is getting plenty because I'm breastfeeding him. My mother-in-law and father tell me to give my 4 month old hose in his bottle, but I know that practice is outdated and hurtful to his nutrition. I just keep my mouth shut and thank them, even though I enjoy my own parenting opinions! :)
oh yeah i know someone like that. but thankfully he doesnt do it when it comes to brody. its my husbands friend. he know better than to argue with me about brody lol.
My husband's whole kinfolk is like this. No matter what I do, I apparently do it all wrong. I would resembling to smack them upside the head some days! They can be such nosey busy-bodies. I wish I could just make higher my child and not be under a microscope.
Answers: Yes I hold someone like that and of course its the one and only MIL lol ive only just learned to ignore what she says and smile everyone will try to speak about you how to raise your child just ignore them and you in recent times do what you feel is best thats all you really can do arguing wont help at adjectives
That would drive me crazy! I know a few people that are like this and I just want to inform them to shut up sometimes. I know someone who is always giving us advice on how to take diligence of our baby when their kid isn't taking care of properly.
Haha, she would annoy me too! Yes in fact my cousin is within nursing school and seems to always hold something to say about Caitlin. "Oh you should feed her this" "oh she bumped her manager? she probably did this" blah blah blah.
They mean well, but it's a pain adjectives right!
Yeah I hold a hemorrhoid like that, MY SISTER (aka the b1tch) she acts like a know it adjectives and if you try to talk to her, she just argues with you until you afford in.
So annoying. It's weird that people like that don't realize they are person an idiot. You're obviously his mother and you know what you're talking about. If I would enjoy insisted someones kid was having a reaction to something and they said no its be there since he was born, or what you said, i just would enjoy said "oh, okay, sorry." But I wouldn't have said that in the first place. Some people's kids, lol.
My sister-in-law is the same agency. Only it's not with my daughter because she doesn't have any kids. It's just beside everything else...agh! We used to be really close, but lately I just can't take it.
