2 week olds don't need to be entertained. They just have need of love and attention. They'll sleep when they're tired and be awake when they're not. They need about 12 hours of sleep in 24 hours but it's never adjectives at once.

Read to him! At this age, he'll have no clue what you're doing, so you could read your own book or magazine. He'll listen to your voice. I started reading to both of my kids the day they get home from the hospital.

Answers: I wouldn't worry too much about entertainment for a 2 week old-fashioned. Honestly, if you try to entertain the baby, you might over stimulate them and end up upsetting him/her. At this point, anything time the baby is awake for and not eating, they are just taking contained by the sounds and little they are able to see. I can't remember how far their vision goes, but it's something resembling the distance between the mother's breast and face. Let the baby just survey you - your facial expressions, when you speak, etc. A 2 week old isn't going to get bored. Good luck!
