No, it sounds like that is what your baby wants. Not all babies are going to eat the same amounts contained by one particular month as others. Your baby is fine, let him drink as much as he wants.

my son only drinks 6 oz once so far and that be last night but he slept for about 7 hours
You could try it once and see if he pukes it back up. Some babies need that much. Don't deny him food if he's still hungry. But if he gets a tummyache or continuously pukes after intake 6oz, maybe knock it down to 5oz.
