My newborn fight sleeps sternly?
My son will be 4 weeks on Sund. and Im having a hard time getting him to sleep after he feeds. At first we thought it be colic which to me is anything that Dr.s cant figure out a cure for but he wakes up screaming, nurses on both sides then fight and screams not wanting to go back to sleep but finally give up and dozes off. You can tell he is tired but I cant figure out why he scream like he does. Sorry if Im rambling, I don't get much sleep. He does great during the afternoon but if he gets off his reg. schedule it take him forever to go back to sleep. Im just frustrated and running on fumes looking for a miracle. Thanks for any info on getting him to sleep or helping him tire easier..
he's probably brying because he is tired (weird i know)
My son does that sometimes... you should lay him in his bed and keep on a few minnutes and if he still doesn't stop crying then comfort him.
check his temp?
maybe he's gassy if you just feed him?
i have to burp my son for 30 minutes sometimes (even if he burps once he still needs to burp) Source(s): just a suggestion <3
biddable luck.
Get Mylicon drops for the gas-I used to give it to my son after every feeding. He might even be crying because he's tired also. He's only 4 weeks infirm and he's trying to figure things out, so everything will be ok in time :) Try singing, rocking, talking etc. Sometimes they requirement that extra comfort, they're scared too. Answers: my toddler did the same thing. she has colic reflux and a milk protein allergy. adjectives three cause screaming and sleep problems. you should def get him tested for a milk protein allergy because that can become serious. i give my babe-in-arms similac alimentum which we get for free from insurance because its a medical problem and she isn't screaming as much. we also use mylicon and little remedies gripe water which helps soothe tot.. just make sure it says alcohol free because i hear that a comp. uses a small amount of alcohol in theirs. it really helped my babys colic. also burp baby every 2 oz or so and don't lay him on his hindmost for a half hr after he eats.. put him in a bouncy form or swing. put baby on his left side if he gets gassy and try giving him a binky if he take one. hope this helps :) good luck. My little one did that same thing, he would fight and fight sleep. He'd yell and cry and nothing i did made it better. He'd be exhausted but wouldnt fall asleep. He'd fight sleep for hrs simply screaming but everything we tryed failed. He did grow out of it at about 6 weeks. We tryed our best to make a "sleepy" envirmoent. turned down the lights, and the tv/music. Did his diaper, changed into sleepers and consequently started to walk and we'd walk for hrs until he'd finally go down. I don't really know what suggestion to give you except try to stick to a sched and just be patent i know it's rugged to believe now but it will end.
God bless and may he give you strength the first 2 months are the hardest but they gain easier and you start to understand your babe more and then you wonder what was wrong near you the first 8 weeks but it's normal.
