Manual or Electric Breast pump?
Hi everyone. Im an expecting mum and want to know the goss on breast pumps, i have no idea which one to go for, but i enjoy also been told i may not want one..
So give me your experiences with manual/ electric pumps :)
I don't pump often so I have a manual, an Avent Isis. It does the commission when I need it to.
If you're going to be pumping often, I suggest an electric.
It depends on how much expressing you are going to do. If approaching me you are going back to work then an electric breast pump is certainly a flawless investment whether you buy or hire one. A double pump is also a good idea as it certainly take less time to express.
I hired an Ameda electric pump from Ardo which was really good and markedly quiet, you can use it with one or two sets so it's also very sudden.
I tried a manual pump but the electric one certainly made things a lot easier and quicker.
I use a medela swing electric pump, its great! I get about 5oz (now inflict my daughter is eating more) and I only have to pump for I don`t know 15-20min at the most! Its great, I pump at work with only having to pump for that short time it have been great!
I had a almanac one, and I couldn't get a drop out! I was trying for maybe 20-30 minutes. Then, I bought the Playtex Petite Double Electric Breast Pump System. I love this pump! It works wonders! I can find about 3 oz from one breast with this thing. So within my experience, electric has worked better.
Answers: i did electric bc adjectives i had to do was put it on and i cld brush my teeth or something else at the same time, plus its faster than brochure. but i didnt really use my pump a lot, most ppl use pumps if they're going back to work and still want to breast feed.
You will want one! I had both and the electric was so much better. I used the guide one at work only b/c I had no plug-ins in the women's restroom. I get a lot more milk out in half the time near an electric.
I use an Ameda double electric and it's worked the best for me, IMO. I tried a few different electric pumps- Medela, playtex, avent... All crap to me. I tried a handpump, hurt and took forever. I suggest you walk with Ameda purely yours double electric pump, it's cheaper than Medela and is a closed system, and is better quality than Playtex- avent- first years, etc.
