Whats a moral duet of shoes to buy for a 1year out-of-date?
He's been walking for a few months now, and I would like to obtain him used to wearing shoes.
I started my kids on leather slipper type shoes. You can buy them at Target for sure and many other places. I feel like it was a nice introduction to having something on their foot w/o overwhelming them with walking and having clunky shoes on. Good luck to you.
From a shop that will properly measure his foot, not try to sell you shoes for the sake of it, and soft shoes that allow his feet to grow and are delicate on soft bones, but study adequate to support his ankle joint. Make sure any shoes are properly fitted by a traind person so you know you're getting the right size shoes. Preferably select a shoe shop that offers a collection in widths as well as lengths to catch the best possibly fit. Be prepared to replace his shoes every 6 weeks or so though!

We bought my son a pair of brown sandals from Striderite. No where else had shoes big and far-reaching enough to fit his feet! We had to achieve him a DOUBLE wide. But they are comfy and he walks really good contained by them.

something with buckels. NOT velcrow. my son have only been walking for 2 months and we have gone thru 4 pairs of shoes. he take them off and loses 1 of them
Robeez have a few different lines. We got my daughter the mini shoes... which still have the soft sole but are a little more durable, and later the tredz. I loved these. They had a rubber sole but it was super flexible. My ped said to make sure they're not too stiff.
Answers: A pair that fits. I once read an article about a kid who had purely started walking and his mother put tight-fitting shoes on him. I can't remember the exact number, but I think the kid retreated from walking and resorted to crawling for like another 18 months or so.
I get my son a pair of Nike air max for his 1st birthday, he always walk well in them, they are really smart and cute looking!
Crocs?
They're really uncomplicated to slip on and off.

I always considered Robeez more like slippers.
I bought my first son a pair of Nikes from Sears. They were $40 and he outgrew them so fast. I'm within the same boat now with #2--
he does hold a pair of Robeez (soft leather shoes) but they don't give much support like the other "sneakers" did...
