Child treat roughly to an elder sibling?
It's an extremely confusing situation, I am married to my step sons father (obviously), and his ex wife remarried and the new guy abused my step sons older brother. If there a means of access to get my step son out of that type of environment?
They put the new guy threw a course on child abuse and wasnt allowed spinal column into the house until he was finished. BUt he is back and we don't trust the situation. The court system here in California is messed up.
We are concerned because, usually, once misuse happens in a household it continues.

What the hell is your husband's ex-wife thinking? She should own kicked that man out of her house... why didn't the police lock him up?
I'm concerned about both children. Your husband needs to take this to court and ask for full custody of them. You both enjoy to stop this before it becomes worse and some other innocent kid pays the price.
you need to confine him, or see markings on the boy.
if you see markings then you HAVE TO TAKE A PICTURE OF IT! you NEED proof.
if he starts acting strange, upset and such, keep your eyes open. if the weather is warm and he's in pants and a long sleeve shirt, try and talk to him, he is most possible hiding it in that case.
