You are right, Do not yell. However, you are the parent and you must be surrounded by control. My advise is, take away, take away, appropriate away. She is rude to you.take away her TV or Video time for a day or more. She leaves her room messy after you've asked her to do it, take away going to the pool or a friends house. She rear legs talks, take away her ipod or phone...and mean it ! Tell her on Friday, "Tomorrow you may want to sleep belated, but you may not go anywhere until you completely clean your room and vacuum for me. I want it to be done by 2 o'clock. Tellng kids ahead of time is very nifty. It helps them to feel in control. T hey seem to be to hate it when their parents say "Do this now." Remember, you can whip away driving her to the movies, or a friends house, or to the beach. You can take away many priviledges and fun things. You can nick away buying new things for her at the mall. Do not give surrounded by. Tell her, "The more you are kind and thoughtful and helpful and loving, the more I will want to do to make things fun for you." If you articulate it, mean it. Notice when she is cooperating and tell her that you appreciate her helpfulness.Do not expect her to clean the path you do but if she tries, accept her efforts. Just makes sure that if you report to her that if she talks back, you'll take away a convinced thing.make sure you do it and stick too it. If you say that the ipod is gone for 3 days, expect it . Let her know ahead of time. Have a talk. Tell her you are very unhappy near how things are with the two of you. Tell her that you want things to be better. Tell her, "This is what WE are going to do." ...NOW YOU DO IT ! Good luck, because her having ADHD makes it more difficult and this is why it will be advantageous for her to know in advance and for you to be very consistent.
