What are some comfortable things to do when babysitting a 10 year outmoded?
Just tolerate them do their own thing while you fiddle with your phone or scrutinize TV. If they're not in the room with you call out every few minutes "Are you OK?" and if they come within to the rom your in talk to them. Ask them questtions about what they did that hours of daylight and sound interested. If they come to you and want you to interact with them just permit them choose what to do and go along with it. If they get bored say-so something like "do you want to make some cakes/pictures/jewellery for when mom/dad comes home?
Hope this helps!
Here are some things you can do:
Bring a board game with you. He/she will delight in playing it. A good thing about board games is that they are reusable and you can other play again.
Bring some cookie mix with you. Find out what she/He's allergic to and if she/he is not allergic to it than you can bake it.
You can also bring cupcake mix with icing and enjoy her decorate her own.
YOu two can write and illustrate your own story.
If it's a girl then ask her parents if you can paint her nails for her.
Good luck!
My daughter started babysitting at 10 and so did I.
How old are you?
play board games, write/illustrate a story, play a 2-player video spectator sport (let the little kid win), and just ask the kid what he/she wants to do. [; Source(s): experience.
Answers: Make some Astronaut Snacks! These are my son's favorite:
1 or 2 graham crackers or equivalent animal crackers
1/4 Cup of peanut butter
A good squeeze of honey or couple tablespoons of jelly
1 plastic baggie
Crush up the graham crackers in the baggie - use your hands, a rolling pin, a sledge hammer, wooden spoon, whatever.
Add the peanut butter and the honey
Squish it all around really good to mix it up
Cut bad a little corner of the baggie and squeeze the glop into your mouth as a snack :)
Also, play I Spy, Charades or 20 Questions, no equipment needed and its fun
Paint an "underwater" scene - use crayons first to draw fish, mermaids, rocks, plants, starfish, shells, sunken treasure, etc.
Then use blue watercolor paints (every kid has these) to wash blue over the in one piece picture. The paint won't stick to the crayon drawing and it will give it some air bubbles and look like its really below water.
