What would be some of the symptoms of asthma within a 8 year out-of-date boy?
He's having headaches, trouble breathing, trouble sleeping, coughing at night. I own brought him to the doctor for this and he says its allergies and prescribed Zyrtec which didn't help at all. What are the symptoms of asthma, especially contained by a child?

My daughter is 8 and has asthma, it really simply shows up when she starts getting a cold. A lot of coughing, especially when exerting herself or at night when she is sleeping. If she is having a flare up and I put my ear to her chest and she takes a big breath, you can hear squeaking contained by her lungs. My daughter has a nebulizer with Albuterol and pulmicort, you could also get an inhaler. Zyrtec is for allergies, I dont infer it would help with asthma. I think you should pocket him back to the Dr and get some inhaled medicine.

I know that my symptoms were:
Shortness of breath
wheezing
coughing fits
being sick in the morning
i could almost not walk up stairs without getting out of breath
i found it easier said than done to breath when i got upset or stressed in any way, much close to a panic attack.
I really hope this helps, cause i unloved being asthmatic.
I grew out of it though, so he has it im sure he will too.
