Why do we net out kids capture dressed up for the first time of college?
I remember when I was in grade institution and my mom used to make me wear these really pretty jumper dresses that I wouldn't normally wear everyday. The undamaged thing with a slip (yea, *that* long ago) buttons everywhere and tights, etc. I remember always individual very nervous about going to the bathroom contained by a new environment and trying to keep this getup clean during the hours of daylight etc. I hated that my mom made it so complicated on the first day of school. My mom is other asking me if I got a pretty outfit for my DD to wear and is always horrified when I tell her she wearing jeans or anything she normally would wear to be comfortable.
So anyway, that was my personal experience. Do you dress you kids for the first day of university or let them wear their normal clothes? What are your reasons any way?
Kids do need to be comfortable in a new environment. Even if it is equal school they attended the previous year. It is a new classroom and teacher. They call for clothes they can easily go to the bathroom with. New buttons, snaps, etc can make happen problems.
My kids are more about the new school supplies and showing these to their friends.
I found a catalogue of school supplies for kindergarten through 5th grade that many teacher recommend.

ughhh i can`t stand dressing nice for the first day! i mean, new jeans and a nice shirt is ok, same for picture afternoon. my mom had this whole outfit planned for me the first day of kindergarten, and i threw a fit and put on my winnie the pooh overalls.
i utter in between. don't dress them up like you're going to a wedding or taking family unit christmas card photos. i think as long as their outfit is clean, somewhat nice and not old and falling apart, and match somewhat, it's fine.
well i wear what i would in general wear but just a tad bit fancier! XD!
Parents dress their kids becuase they want their kids to make a good first impression on their tutor ;)
Im in highschool right now and I dress up for the first day because I resembling impressing my friends and the guys ;)
Teachers may also look at the kids clothes and depend on what kind of parents the kid has close to whether they are responsible or don't really care.. I dont know this is just my theory =)
idk
Yes, because if you dress nicely on the first day, you net a good first impression on your teacher(s).
I never dresses up for the first day of arts school!
because it is still very important to produce a good first impression
My godson wear uniforms to school so he can't dress up. I only product sure he has the kind of shoes and backpack he wants. Which is usually a clean pair of jordan's or G nites and a Spider-man backpack.
for this year the first day im wearing my ryan braun jersey so i look sporty
Answers: I have my kids dress a little bit nicer than usual for the first daytime of school because I know that for the rest of the year they will look like they rolled in muck after the first 5 minutes. Also, I other take a picture of them on the first school day of the year and it is nice to see them looking smart.
LOL - great question. I never thought about WHY I do it to my kids until presently. I guess just because, like you, that is the means of access my Mom did it. No other reason than that.
Reminds me of a story - a newly married bride wanted to put together roast for her husband. She called her mom for the recipe. Her Mom told her what to buy and told her when she cooked the roast - she had to divide it into two pans formerly sticking in the oven. The bride asked why? - the Mom said "that is the way Grandma other used to make hers and it was delicious". So the bride did the same piece. One day Grandma came to eat at the brides house, Proudly the bride made the home favorite recipe - roast beef. As the bride was dividing the roast between the two pans - Grandma said "Why in the world are you doing that?". Confused, the bride answered "Well Grandma - Mom said to be precise the way YOU always made your roast, so she always did too and afterwards she taught it to me". Grandma laughed and replied "I only did that because I didn't own a pan big enough".
