Help keeping 6-12 year olds sour the TV?
you could either play a fun game with them outside, seize them learning video games, only let them hold privileges if they do chores clean their rooms, ETC.
Try taking them to a pulbic pool, rolllerskating rink, enjoy friends over, go to the mall (thats so fun just to totter around. You could even let the 12 year old walk around alone next to a cell phone if it's in a safe area.)
GO SWIMMING!
Covertly unplug the cable where they can't realize what's happening. Claim, "The cable must be out.", afterwards introduce other activities.
Go hold a pick nick, go to the mall, the coast, send them outside to play and lock the doors (my parents did that to us haha) as long as it isnt too hot
Go swimming !
Unplug the tv and hide it somewhere.
Take the kids out somewhere like there friends house, or the park.
Try getting them moving by signing them up for activities like soccer.
Try doing some fun things together as a family close to skating, making pottery, shopping, swimming and taking a walk.
Try encouraging them to do things with others and there friends!
:D
talk with the parents and see if you can take them some where on earth
unplug it and tell them that the cable wasn't paid for that month so they turned the tv stale.
Not sure about your community burt where I live right very soon you can with a library card, check out a day pass to a local museum for free. Which is a shareholder as well as something to do. Libraries also can be a great place to take the kids, make them check out a book that you know become a movie, have them read it then rent the movie and talk something like the differences.. Harry Potter may be good for their ages.
Kite flying, have them design and build their own kites. Not sure what state you live in.. but a daytime at the beach if one near you, take bubbles.. amazing how kids still love them..
Have the kids look up deeds on the computer for your area, and take them to what ones they find interesting. If nothing else, move about to the fuse box and turn off the TV and computer that way.. done that before as okay.. :) Good luck.
