What are some fun things that kids do?
My little cousins are coming over for a week. They are 2, 6, 8, and 12 years old. I really need some ideas of fun things to do. Preferably outdoor goings-on.
Remember me and my friends sitting side by side on the curb with our foot and toes perfectly aligned in front of us in the street. Taking turns, one of us would bike as close as possible to the row of toes, the one who flinches, loses. Often the bike rider would run over somebodies toes on purpose. Does not hurt but was daring and worthy for laughs.
We did a mystery themed birthday party for my daughter's 8th birthday and we created a mystery for the kids to solve - "The Case of the Missing Scooter".simple clues leading to the subsequent clue until they found the missing scooter. It was a HUGE hit with her 8-9 year old friends and her 5 year frail brother..so much so that they immediately wanted another mystery to solve, and ended up making team and creating their own mysteries for each other. It can be done inside or outside - ours was outdoors.
Answers: well i don't think the 2 year old could play this but at dark you could play flashlight tag where you have flashlight and you covering places and then find them ( and you have flashlights) it is fun i used to love it. or you could play easy games close to ..

pickle- you have to things that will be able were you can stand on the you call for a ball and you need at least 4 family to play this game with one person you facade them. and then the other 2 people are on the things you picked to stand one when they are not looking you run as fast as you can to the other side be the other person is and the other person goes be you are and you have to tap the person wit the globe that person has to be it then if you have need of more people just put 2 people on one plinth. or if you have A LOT of people get 2 ball and then have 2 catchers.

if you live in an area that has fire flies (lightening bugs) rob them out at dusk and catch them..my daughter loves this.
