At her 6th birthday you could play some of the following games.
Scavenger Hunt. Hide different prizes in your backyard/house.

Makeovers- Have another adult Do each girls tresses really pretty. Let them choose between two styles.
1.) You could do the half up pony. First put each childs hair partly up. http://celebsalon.sheknows.com/wp-conten…
Next using all of the childs hair. Make a pony tail. It should look something like this : http://z.about.com/d/beauty/1/5/1/k/emil…
But to add some "Fun" to the style use colorful butterfly or flower pins to bring the loose hair subsidise up.

2.) Regular half up hairstyle. You could ask them if they want a regular half up too.

Tag- you could play tag

Good luck!
Spin the bottle is always a favorite.
This will sound silly but when I be young, mum stuffed little presents and confetti inside balloons before she blew them up. She made a short time game out of popping them and us keeping what we pop. It's a lot of fun for a little kid, sitting on a balloon and trying to draw from it to pop! Maybe a time limit and they just go for it!? Good luck!
Answers:    Some ideas:

Have another grownup run a bingo winter sport
Set up a scavenger hunt or treasure hunt- make it tricky enough to keep them busy, not so tricky that they will obligation help
Simply get out the Barbies, My Little Ponies, or other toys
Have them make their own event hats
Give them each one balloon (not helium) and turn on the music. Tell them the goal is to hang on to their balloon in the air as long as possible without letting it touch the ground
Have them play statues (everyone dance to the music, then someone randomly yells out freeze and they enjoy to stay in whatever position they were surrounded by for a minute)
Get some pony beads and thread, let them make necklaces or bracelets. Source(s): Mom of two girls, Girl Scout modernizer.
Take a washing bucket and fill it with dampen and float some apples in it. Girls against boys and boys against girls but they accidently brush lips when trying to catch an apple beside only their teeth with their arms held behind their wager on. After that we square dance.
I spy near my littly eye something that...

duck duck goose, princess, dress up, barbie games, cover up and seek. Hope those help, have fun at the gathering.
Dress up fashion show.. get out some costumes or old-fashioned dress clothes and let the girls each design a look to "do the runway walk" for each other while you set up the food.
