Can my friend catch out of suspension/exspelled contained by summer institution?

here's the deal she is in super trouble... possibly legal probs. her mom put her smokes contained by her bag over the week end I guess she didn't have a purse... within was a little bit of pot and a one hitter. it fell out of my friend's bag when she be getting something out (no... it wasn't hers I am pretty sure)

anyways, it fell out and she got suspended from summer school... Yeah she isn't the best student and had to repeat a course... she's a smart mouth and adjectives. but I am pretty sure she doesn't smoke or drink. is there a way for her to get out of this short getting her mom in trouble?
Answers:    Not really, her mom would have to admit it be hers. Which could still cause problems. Nice mom, jeez!
