How to preserve children interested?
I'm going to be watching and tutoring two girls that are homeschooled when school starts back up. One is in the fourth category and one in the second. I haven't really had too much experience tutoring or watching children. I've only really done it roughly speaking three times. All i know is they don't have a very large attention span when they're young at heart. What are somethings I can do to keep their attention?
science experiments like with bubbles and tuning forks. Like hand on
in that are plenty of lab and science experiments you can buy online fo rchildren who are homeschooled plenty of fun projects that they can do and in the in structions it explains the science, physics, biology behind what the lab is when i be younger this was my favorite thing about university and made learning a bit more enjoyable
Answers: Make the studying a game! Have a list of age appropiate question. Then have a few pieces of candy at the top of the stairs. When they answer a question correctly, they get to turn up a step on the stairs and once they get to the top they can have some candy.
Flash cards are always devout!
Another good thing is do hands on things. Like use pennies to work on mixing, subtraction, and multipication and division. And you can find hands on science things on teacher websites.
Check out teacher sites!
Good Luck!!
At that age, they should be expected to study on their own without supervision. DON'T make them think it is your charge to entertain them or keep them focused. That is THEIR job.
Candy! Rewards and punishment.
tell them they will be rewarded if they remuneration attention and won't be rewarded if they dont
Always make things fun. Kids won't recompense attention if it's boring, but if you make things fun to do, and still accomplish the goals you need to, it can be amazingly flowing.
make learning and play very hand on
involve art, crafts,games,field trips
you own to joke around while you are teaching, when you accomplish that ull see that the children are fully interested!
