Activities and Sports for an 8 year dated?
ok my brother is 8 and he really wants to be active but he doesn't know what to do.
About him:
He's 8
loves Video Games, and ipod touch games
Watches TV
He likes War Stuff
gratitude
I don't think video games, ipod touch games and tv are enormously educational for an 8-year-old child.
And since your child is interested in war stuff, I feel he might turn violent in the future.. How going on for teaching him musical instruments, like.. cello or guitar? (Because I heard relations who play cello and guitar are less violent...)
& Since your child is little, I think busy sports would be better for him than less-active sports. Such as, soccer, football, Or tennis :]
If he is wanting to find a sport he likes maybe you can steal him to the park and try some out. The balls themselves are not that expensive, and if you are willing wouldn't take much time for him to know if he like it or not. Both my boys love baseball are currently figuring if they like basketball and football. My husband and I play with them adjectives the time.
You could also talk to your parents about getting a WII fit they have great games that fashion you active right in your living room.
I have a 7-year old cousin resembling that. He loves army and war type stuff and Star Wars. He likes wrestling with me even though I other win, running around with toy guns and swords and playing Wii.
If he has a heart condition, double check with his doctor first - although if it is well controlled it shouldn't be an issue.
But otherwise, he is fine to play doesn`t matter what grabs his interest. Karate, swimming, gymnastics, soccer, baseball... there's loads of things to choose from.
Answers: There's baseball, soccer, basketball, flag football, tennis, swimming, karate, gymnastics.. and so on if his Dr approves of those activities. There's also things like music and theater which are less physically demanding. He's hoary enough to start in cub scouts (boy scouts) as well. If he doesn't know what to do, he can try respectively of these one at a time (a season of each of the city league sports, one play, a few months of lessons, etc) until he finds something he enjoys and requirements to stay with.
what about sports? He seems resembling he would like karate
