Are ADHD kids usually skinny because of their hyperactivity?
Or at least less prone to obesity?
There is no 'real clear' answer to your sound out. However I can say that the metabolism of BOYS with ADHD are higher and give the impression of being to look slimmer than those BOYS that don't have ADHD. They (the boys with adhd) seem to WORK their bodies more commonly than those that do not. It's not to say that boys without adhd can also work the same.
SOME medication (if taken for adhd) are almost like an appetite suppressant.
Just a suggestion: this website is all about adhd/add and can make available you more 'clear' answers. Check it out. It's free and the message boards are awesome.

Yes, within general kids with ADHD tend to be smaller than their peers. They expend a lot of verve due to their hyperactivity so they burn up a lot of calorie's. They usually end up a little shorter when they are fully grown too due to this.
ADHD medication also tend to suppress appetite so this reduces the weight as well.
However, some ADHD sufferers enjoy the opposite problem. They put on weight because they are impulsive, so they munch through the wrong foods without thinking and dont know when to stop. Also few have the patience to cook, so when they return with older they tend to rely on fast food to survive.
