10 pts: What are some crafts and accomplishments to do near girls ages 7 and10?
I almost never babysit kids this age...most are a lot younger. What are some crafts to do? Or any activity would work, really. You can point me to a website or just transmit me here. Thanks very much!
Buy some $1 bags and hats and cheap paint. Then hold the grls paint them. Or, buy a pack of poster paper and have the kids draw on a poster and hang it contained by their room (with permissiion from the parents first, of course!). Also, you could make necklaces with bead and string.
If they have a picture printer then hold their picture and print it out and have them decorate their own picture frame.
Bake cupcakes and have them make fancy. And remember its always cooler to put food coloring in white frosting then buy it that means of access.
Fashion shows, have them put together lets say three looks respectively and give you a fashion show.
Let them do you hair and makeup. This will never never never carry old, if you can handle it.
Mad libs, buy one at Barns and nobles, or the limited/justice. Its a book that has funny stories that you teem in the blanks with out knowing the story until the end.

Tv scavenger hunt- make a list of things to find and contribute each person a set amount of time to flip through the tv to find as many as possible, later the next person tries. The person next to the most wins.

Even taking them out of the house to go places, such as the park, library, pool, or mall would be accurate to get them out of the house and away from the TV. Stores like Michaels and Hobby Lobby (or an equivalent store in your area) would hold great craft ideas.
OTHER IDEAS:
You could also have the kids make their own board games (buy adjectives the supplies and have them create the game and the rules), then clutch turns playing it. This can occupy kids for HOURS!
You could have them write scripts and videotape acting them out (either in person or near stuffed animals). Then hold a screening for their parents.
On a similar note, they could write stories. One kid could write a page and the other could illustrate. Then they could switch. Many stores (even target) sell simple binding kids to make their story into books.

Make some fairy wands - cut out some stars out of cardboard and tolerate them paint and decorate them. Glitter goes down well. The stick them on to some wooden skewers for handle.
