Do your kids lately amaze you sometimes?

My daughter is 12 and she wrote this for her sister, who is 5 and has cystic fibrosis and is in the hospital right now. When i read it i newly cried and cried...don't your kids just amaze you sometimes?

When your sister is sick, it’s pretty lonely at home. One of your parents is always at the hospital, usually both, so your choices are to stay at home biting your nails or walk with them.
When your sister is sick, the hospital becomes your new home too, since you don’t ever really want to check out of her side. You never knew a place could be so clean, or so quiet…everywhere is quiet currently.
When your sister is sick the only place that seems normal is academy. It becomes your great escape from the sickness that is your life. But you’re other thinking about your sister…she can’t just leave approaching you can.
When your sister is sick, you’d do anything to leave the pediatrics floor. You can’t stand the IV beep, you can’t stand the nurses, you can’t stand the doctor’s grim news. You can’t stand seeing your sister close to this.
When your sister is sick, she sleeps a lot, so most visits are spent standing in silence. But when she’s awake, she have a smile, and you play games, and you almost remember what life is like when she’s feeling okay.
When your sister is sick, you actually cry when the doctor says “one more week”. You are so ready for everyone to shift back home. Maybe then, your sister will be ready to screech and run and be herself again.
When your sister is sick, you stay up at night and wish on stars. You don’t know how it can help, but you know that if you could you’d option on every single one in the sky for her.
When your sister is better, she comes home from the hospital. Her disease is progressive, so she’ll never be healed, but at least you know that for today, everything is okay.
When your sister is sick, she get close to your heart, so close that she can never be far from you. And even though you know she will be sick again someday, for now that day seems far away.
Wow.
She sounds like a completely deep, and mature girl.
You are blessed by her, and as is her sister.
I pray for you guys.
God bless you
Kris

Hope your 5 year old gain strength and gets well soon!
