She is to childlike to be hired. 15 is the age minimum to get a job. I would suggest you pay her for doing big chores approaching cleaning all the bathrooms, or vacuuming the whole house. There is no way for a 14 year antediluvian to get a job in the U.S unless the business is owned by relations.
There are lots of 14 year old kids out within looking for the same sorts of jobs.

Without a work permit (which she can't receive at this age), he options are limited.

This is a good time for her to start volunteering, so when she IS infirm enough for a job, she will have experience.

In CT [where I live] the lawful age for employment [unless it's under the table] is 16. In many other states, it is 15.
instead of just putting up flyers for babysitting, go to people's doors and give them a flyer intuitively and if you really want to get some jobs babysitting, take an American Red Cross babysitting course.

Are you in the U.S.? If so, I'm afraid there are 'real' no jobs available to your daughter. U.S. Child Labor Laws require a minor to be 14 years antediluvian to be employable.

She can work for individuals, though. Lawn care, babysitting, etc.

EDIT: Well, if she's 14 you have way more option! :) She can work for a proffesional business, but she will only be able to work a certain amount of hours. The number of hours will reduce when school year starts, and she will not be allowed to work during school hours. Keep in mind lots businesses expect their student employees to maintain a certain plane of GPA during their employment.

When I was 14 I worked at a restraunt bussing tables and at a hotel cleaning rooms. I've found fast food restraunts are most keen to hire teens. Some libraries will hire teens as pages (they put books away). I know a 15 year old who does custodial work at the post office.

The best opening to find a job that will accept her is simply to pick a place she might want to work, call and ask if they hire minors. Make sure she asks that *before* she fill out an application. You can also look in the newspaper or have her sign up on an online errand search site, but I think that might be more of a hassle.
