Parents who hold deal next to university uniform, please assist?

Okay, I can't move my kid to another school and am left with no choice but the neighborhood academy...yippee. I have no experience with school uniform and the school is not open for another three weeks. I need to buy his clothes while I can. Here is the quality newspaper I received about the uniforms:

1. Clothing should be the CORRECT SIZE for the child. Oversized clothing and too tight clothing is not permitted.
2. Uniform colors are NAVY, TAN, and WHITE
3. Denim blue LEVI pants or skirts may be worn. FADED, TORN OR OVERSIZED LEVIS ARE NOT PERMITTED.
4. All uniform clothing is a SOLID COLOR. No stripes, logos, flowers, words, numbers, etc.
5. Pants, skirts, and shorts, must be a different color from the shirt.
6. Uniforms may be knit, cotton, or denim within the correct colors.
7. Students may not wear ANY CLOTHING OR ACCESSORY that shows affiliation with a gang. THIS INCLUDES BELTS, RIBBONS, SHOELACES, ETC.
8. Armbands, bandannas and hats are not allowed.

UNIFORM POLICY IS IN FORCE EVERY SCHOOL DAY.

Any K-6 student who is not surrounded by uniform will spend lunch recess in detention.

Now for my questions:

What nearly the winter cold and snow? I can't send him to school with only just a cotton shirt on with no sweatshirt/sweater etc. I have never seen a solid color sweater surrounded by the ones mentioned especially for a five year old.

Are they serious that he cannot wear shoelaces?

What should I buy then? I know the colors but I have to infer about the fall and winter as well.

As a personal press why does taking the joy of back to school clothes shopping awaken learning? My son was looking forward to wearing his new transformer shirt to arts school and show his friend. Does this extend to backpacks as well? They have not sent anything on the subject of school supplies.
He can wear shoe laces, purely not ones that are affiliated with gangs. This can be anything from childrens Dr. marten boots with red or white lace (these are white supremecist traditions) or children's Chuck Taylor shoes with blue or red laces (these are crip and blood traditions). If you send him wearing a duo of Nike's or or other children's schoes with the original laces, you'll be fine. This isn't necessarily because the child is gang affiliated, but the parents might be and who picks out a child's clothes? The parents. As for the uniform, a lot of schools are adopting this tradition as financial times are getting tough. There are families who can not afford to buy designer clothes and their children in turn get tease for it. Look at the Columbine or Springfield shootings. They are meant to make school in the region of education, not fashion. I work with greatly of low income families and I see them buying their kids designer clothes they can not afford, which is probably part of the reason they are asking for varied forms of assistance. Back on track now, I think the schools own poor choices in what they choose as far as leaving options for parents and kids alike, but I am not a university employee making the decisions.

As for planning ahead, you can get long sleeved shirts and wear them beneath coats. Coats, backpacks, supplies, etc. are not considered uniforms so you can get doesn`t matter what you choose to. One thing you can do is ask other parents in the neighborhood where they purchase their children's clothes at. In my nouns a lot of people go to JC Penny to purchase uniform. Or you can shop at other stores to find better deals.

Good luck, i think the school should hold a few more options available as kids will eventually get bored with wearing khaki or blue pant with white shirts. My other questions is, how many childlike kids can keep a white shirt white? I am 26 and hardly ever wear white because I am bound to spill something on it. try calling the academy or the district and tell them your problem. they wouldn't enforce these rules if the proper clothing couldn't be bought close by. maybe you can order it from them. hope this help. i wore a uniform in the 6th grade and it was tough to find the right clothes but than my mom called the school/district and they gave her a list of stores that sold the clothing
Answers:    I attended a uniform school for 3/4 of a school year (for the first quarter, i be in a school that failed AYP for 3 years and be required to give parents the choice to send their students to a different school)

Once in a while, we have "no uniform days". self explanitory.

and that's the company we got my uniforms from.
well, we bought them at target, but that's the brand. This brand have everything. except shoes.
shoes without laces? velcro? that won't last surrounded by 6th grade though.
They seriously can't expect a 5 year old to be involved with a gang, right?

Good Luck!
If you want to try something else, you can always put a fake address on the school broadsheet, and pretend to live somewhere else. Get a post office box for the mail. This will let you transport your child to a school outside of your district. They won't be going to your home, right?

That's if you're willing to take your child to conservatory every day. It's not that honest, but you gotta do what you gotta do, right?

Try looking online for something like this

But, schools that require uniform are supposed to be set up with a store nearby, and the store is supposed to carry the appropriate uniform.

Contact the school, and they will give you the store that carries the uniform. Source(s): I had to have a uniform one year during elementary school, and my mother go to a specific store that carried the appropriate uniforms.
Good Lord, number 5 is the most ridiculous entity I've ever heard of.
They do have solid color sweaters in those colors. Get an actual sweater, the knit kind, not a hoodie. Long sleeve polo shirts also work.
I think he's allowed to wear shoelaces, as long as they are not gang shoelaces...ask the school more or less this one.
It usually does not apply to backpacks and stuff like that.
The reason they own uniforms is so kids don't make fun of other kids for what they are wearing. If everyone looks the same not a soul says, "You're not cool because your shirt doesn't have a (insert overly popular store name) logo on it!" Uniforms are kind of stupid, but I've go to six schools and three of them had uniform policies so I have experience next to that.
Tan white and blue not desperate

You can get clothes that fit at Walmart, Target, Kolh's, JCpenny

You can get one this time of year
Buy the to fit and a size bigger
Buy what you need to start, these will be on public sale in September

Yes, these stores should have sweaters that could be used

My daughter does not go to academy, but I buy her Navy Blue sweaters each year when they are on sale.

~this is at target..they have a "uniform" section beside your colors.
if you go to "active wear" it has a task force blue windbreaker.

~the shoelaces he can wear but they have to be original colors to the shoe.

~ His backpack should be fine but you should call ahead and ask.
