Is it a moment ago me or is this a long inventory?
this is for a child going into kindergarten.
10 glue sticks
1 package pencils
2 boxes (24 count) crayons
1 box skinny markers
1 hard to digest duty plastic folder
1 pair scissors
one tshirt for art
2 erasers
seperate sneakers for gym
pencil box...
and the funny thing is, with adjectives of these things they say specific brands.. which seems kind of shallow to me... and why ten cement sticks? it just seems like so much for someone so childlike.
it's short contained by my opinion
Short list. Every year our kids have have to bring tissues, paper towels, baggies, and all of their supplies. I think that they say-so a brand so that all the kids have the same stuff. I don't agree beside it, but I think that is the reason. We also unanimously have one thing that is impossible to find, similar to our pencil box one year had dimensions that we couldn't find at any store. I ended up getting the closest thing, and never hear from them about it. I think as long as your child has supplies, you won't get hold of any greif from the school. Be warned though, We had to write our childs identify on everything - like every individual crayon.
Wait until you get further in academy - it just gets more ridiculous.
Not really, but they used to be means of access shorter. When I was in Kindergarten you only needed approaching 4 glue sticks, not 10, and 1 box of 12 crayons, plus some other stuff.
I wouldn't send everything because sometimes they give the extras to kids who cannot afford it. I do know that the glue sticks do not ultimate very long. I would send in partially of the glue sticks and 1 box of crayons. I learned because I had bought my daughter the twisted crayola crayons and she never get to use them because they gave them to a nother child who did not have crayons. I thought that waskind of rude, so the following year I only sent contained by what I thought she needed and for her to let me know when she runs out and I will give it to her myself.

Not really my brother and I hold a really long list I don't know about my sister. My sister is 3 going into preschool she has to thieve 2 years of preschool. My brother is 6 going into 1st grade.Im 9 going into 5th grade. In kindergarten they share stuff its not just for him.
hope that help:):)
Don't worry about specific brands. When I be younger I never brought the brands they wanted and nobody cared!
They know little people run through those things greatly so that's why they asked for so much! I just think the 10 glue sticks is process too much! But at least you won't have to spend more than $150. Every year my parents spend about $500 on me and my sister
Answers: Schools are being short-changed in this environment and supplies are the first place to cut! So you pay surrounded by taxes, or you buy the supplies.
Actually this is a stupid uneconomical way to buy as "large lots" get a discount. With the bonding agent sticks (especially) I would contact other parents, and see if you can buy in lots on line, The crayons, glue sticks, skinny marker and pencils should be available on line. plastic folders come in packages of ten at Walmart, so it would definitely be within the intrest of economy to buy with others!
Good luck the lists return with longer and more expensive when they become teenagers and are involved in sports!
it is VERY short. You need the 10 glue sticks because surrounded by kindergarten, you do ALOT of cut and paste activities. The only piece that I don't get is the separate sneakers. I thought that you didn't need separate shoes for gym till middle school. Source(s): ME!
this is truly normal for a kindergartner. they suggest different brands only to help you. its the brands that work the best or own the best quality. as a kindy your child will be doing tons of projects and activities. he\she is going to need adjectives of them :) hope this helps!
Actually compared to my daughter's kinder list that seems pretty short. From a teacher's perspective, glue sticks stir by real fast. The asking of particular brands is pretty shallow, though.
haha kinda but i stopped with bring the tissues and stuff bc so lots ppl bring it so I dont haha yes i mean! (:
Scissors? This list is too long for a child going into kindergarten. I would ask why Scissors.
They ask u to buy so much cuz if they run out of items like gluesticks the college would have to buy some more, waisting their money, not the parents. So even if there are extras ( they would rather be past the worst then sorry ) they would keep the extras for the year after that and not give it subsidise to the parents. I just but my kids the things that they really need, and not like notebook serious newspaper (there will already be a ton of it in the classroom) I also dont buy tissues, glue sticks, and some other stuff that the teacher will only give out from other kids.
No... very very VERY short!
It's a short list- consider yourself lucky! The glue sticks dance so fast, and at the start of K they are just learning how to epoxy resin. I teach Grade 1 and the kids can go through a glue stick within a day! The caps get lost, the paste breaks off, etc. We ask for specific types and brands so the kids will not argue over them, and also for quality. The no name marker often split or dry out right away, and no name tape regularly does not un-peel. I end up throwing a lot of brand new stuff out explicitly unusable. Please send everything all at once. Your child's teacher will appreciate it. Source(s): I am a coach.
