Does any one enjoy any planning my daughter is trying to earn a brownie decoration, it is the sharing and gentle one...?
she has to collect items for shelters and donate them to the shelters. we made some fliers to put up around the stores, she isn't in a troop there be no leader so we are individual. does anyone have any other ideas as to how we can attain donations. and iam not talking about money donations. donations like soap, tooth brushes and such.

If in that are other girls that are waiting for a troop, contact the Girl Scout centers and look into forming a troop with them, you don't have to have multitudes of member, three or four is just fine. You and the moms can take turns hosting meetings. My mom be my troop leader and it worked great. As for donations, get the girls together in their uniform and park them in front of Wal Mart (get permission first of course) have them gross fliers to put on a table spend a few hours collecting donations.
Answers: turn to hotels maybe and ask for the stuff they give in the rooms. my clan travels a lot so we have loads of that stuff sitting around the house. orrr maybe ask individuals for canned or boxed food. you could do something where for every minute she (insert something hard for her to do), they will buy one toothbrush for a shelter. i guess theyre call sponserships.
the problem is, not many people have lots of extra soap and stuff sitting around the house so its easier for them to donate money and you step buy the stuff, than them taking the initiative to go out and get stuff.

your Girl Scout office will have so many option for her to choose from when you call. find a troop that she can join -the sisterhood is great and relieves alot of your stress. this way you can involve yourself in more actively and she can learn to work with a group.
