Will my son capture bullied this year? What can i do almost it?
Ok so september it just around the corner and around April last year we had a problem near a couple of kids bullying my 9 year old son.
The reason is completely ridiculous and cruel. He had to sign out school a lot last year because he would capture migraines and these kids thought it was funny why he always had to travel down to the office and go home. My son never told them why but the teacher explained to these kids why he be leaving! They have called him name and one actually hit him in the head once. It be later worked out with the teacher.
Im worried this may start again this year. He is awfully sensitive and i can tell it is affecting his will to go to school.
My other 3 kids also win migraines but never had a problem with bullying, would it be too much to ask my oldest son to stand up for him? They go to indistinguishable school.
What should i do?? I have never delt with this up to that time
Look tell your son to stand for himself even though he is afraid just so the bullies can think that he is not terrified of them because bullies pick on kids that are much weaker then they are, and if the bully wants to fight bring up to date your son to run to the teacher or any other adult in the nouns
Put a rock in his stern pack.
Hide a big stick on the play ground, if he gets chased he can run to it, that would be self defense if there is more than 1 kid chasing him.
Or...Don't let the arts school handle it, call the cops. People seem to reason there is not much they can do if it happens at school but it is still assaut. Remeber, if your kid get caught with pot at school, the school would phone call the cops.
I would definitely cheer his siblings to stand up to the bullies with him. I'm all for fighting the bully, but if you're discussion multiple attackers that's not realistic without martial arts training. Bullies tend to avoid nation in groups, so actual fistfights might not be necessary if he has at lowest possible his brother to back him up. If the school has not handle the problem adequately, and it looks like they haven't, call the police at respectively incident. A report will be filed, the kids will have the socks scared past its sell-by date them at this age, and your son might get to avoid being miserable the whole year.
In the meantime I outstandingly recommend martial arts like Taikwondo. They will teach him confidence, discipline, problem solving skills, and the qualifications to defend himself should it become necessary. All the better if his sibs want to learn, too! These skills will serve them for a lifetime.
That sounds like a good idea. I would simply ask your other kids to look out for him. Kids can be so cruel. I hope your son has a good year this year.
Answers: Bullying really sucks. My son got bullied when he was in kindergarten and afterwards first grade by the same student. We told him to stay away from that person, but they kept finding him. It finally get to a point where the bully was expelled from the school. Come to find out my son be not the only target.
If it is emotional bullying then it should be brought to the attention of the institution and you should make sure the parents of the bully(s) are brought in and the issue is brought to their attention. I know my sons school have a rubrick to deal with these issue, and each height is addressed differently until it gets to the point of suspension or expulsion. This one is tough, because you want your kid to be able to stand up for himself, but sometimes that's profoundly harder done than said.
You might want to get a book on migraines and bring it into the class and read it to the students. Talk to the teacher and see if she could do a lesson in how migraines ensue and why. Nothing innitiates bullying more than ignorance.
If the bullying escalates to physical violence (which it sounds like it already did), and you are not satisfied next to the schools disciplinary action (I hope that student that hit your son was suspended at least) next I would call the police and tell them your son was assaulted at academy. Nothing scares the tar out of a bully then to enjoy a police officer show up at school and pull them out of class. Also, the parents have to address the issue, because the police won't blow it stale like the school did.
I hope you get this resolved, zilch stinks more then to have your child scared to budge to school because of some ignorant kids.
I enjoy been bullied my entire life, and that was particularly VERY stupid of the teacher to tell the kids his problem. The re son kids are bullied is because they have some difference from the majority of the category, misfits. By being different, his social status has clearly dropped. The best thing to do is from YOU to attain involved, no matter how much your son protests, call the moms of the kids that bully him, im sure they will be very sorry and punish in attendance kids greatly, no one wants to be the mom of a bully. After the punishment from there mothers, the bully's will stop picking on your son, within fear of whatever punishment they got, if the bullying continues, appropriate it to the school, and tell the vice-princable. He/she will take prudence for the bullys.
