You don't always bleed when you have a miscarriage...
I had a miscarriage contained by October 08 and I didn't have a spot of blood or discharge.
You won't get an infection.
but I wonder why your Dr hasn't ordered a D&C.
You can bleed after having a miscarriage. It's your body way of expelling the pregnancy. If you are worried, call your doctor. Everyone miscarriage is different and everyones body react differently to the loss of a pregnancy. Source(s): 40 weeks and 2 days pregnant
Answers:    You won't get an infection. It can take a while for your body to discharge what is contained by your uterous. The brown discharge sounds like it is just beginning to start. I am suprised your doctor didn't writ a D&C.
