Baby shower favor philosophy...?
My fiance & I are having a co-ed baby shower next month within July & we are trying to think of some favors. One I came up with be going to the dollar store or dollar section in Target & getting little flower pots & putting a packet of herb or flower seeds inside after tying a ribbon around it & making a cute saying like.. a baby is blooming..
Anyone hold any other ideas for favors or sayings to go with the flower pot planning?? Thanks a bunch!
Are you seriously throwing your own shower? So tacky!! Friends or family should be doing all of this for you and if not a soul offers then don't have one.

Answers: That sounds like a beautiful idea. Cant presume of another idea right now, but have a non babe-in-arms shower tradition we started related to planting. When my daughter turned 6 months (it was her first summer) we planted a japanese maple in the courtyard that was the same height as she be (a little over 2 feet tall). She is 5 now and the tree is now 3 times her altitude, but it has been fun watching her and 'her tree' grow up together!! I think your impression is original and perfect. Maybe you could put flower bouquets as centerpieces. Then place something under 1 stool per table or have the guests figure the closest birthday-the person near the hidden item or closest b-day gets the centerpiece-it will keep near the "bloomin" theme! A great favor (or prize!) at the shower.everyone loves a home-spa experience!! Buy hip bath salts in bulk (Ebay is a great resource for this!!). Buy cellophane gift plenty or small mason jars to place the bath salts contained by. Create custom labels made with all your infant shower information and attach these labels to the ribbon at the top of each individual cellophane bag or jar!
Suggestion: Budget for 1/2 pound to 1 pound per guest attending for this favor or prize!! Bath salt are heavy and what may sound like a great deal when purchasing usually winds up being about partially of what you expected.
